Susan Boyle story set to woo Japan

London, August 30 (ANI): The story of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star Susan Boyle is set to end up in a TV show with a Japanese crew eager to record her fairytale rise to stardom.

The Scottish songbird, who turned into an overnight celebrity with her jaw dropping rendition of her audition song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’, will have her story filmed for a special documentary.

Japanese TV bosses will jet into the singing sensation’s hometown of Blackburn, West Lothian, reports the Mirror.

Filmmakers will also interview fans at the Happy Valley Pub where the 48-year-old star used to sing karaoke.

Her brothers Gerry, 55, and John, 52 may also for a part of the show set to be screened on primetime TV in mid-October.

Kanako Hiramoto, from NHK, said: “We wanted to tell the story of the Susan Boyle phenomenon and how the world responded to her remarkable performance on Britain’s Got Talent. People in Japan are fascinated by the story.” (ANI)

London, May 30 (ANI): Susan Boyle is determined to beat the pressure and perform in the finals of Britain’s Got Talent, insisting she would not let go of her dream to bag the title.

Susan had been struggling to handle the attention after turning into an overnight celebrity with her jaw-dropping performance of the song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the talent show, followed by her stunning version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats song Memory in the semi-finals.

Judge Piers Morgan had revealed the singing sensation, 48, had thought of packing her bags and quitting the show following excessive media criticism.

But the Scottish church singer is set to defy the pressure and put up a fierce battle to bring home the title and the 100,000-pound prize money.

“This is my moment, it’s all that I’ve dreamed of,” the Sun quoted Susan as saying.

She added: “I want nothing more than to stay and sing in the final. I’ve spent weeks rehearsing, it’s all I’ve been thinking about. I’m not going to throw away my big chance now.”

Judge Amanda Holden also backed Susan, who has won fans all over the world including US President Barack Obama and Hollywood couple Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher.

Amanda said: “She did have her bags packed at one stage, because she was so sad and upset. She’s under a lot of pressure.”

But she added: “Susan will definitely be in the final and she’ll do a great job.”

Susan, the red-hot favourite to win the show, gathered a record 200million hits on YouTube, has been interviewed by US chat queen Oprah Winfrey, had name checks on cartoon shows The Simpsons and South Park, been invited to meet Obama and has even had a doll modelled after her. (ANI)

Distraught Susan Boyle shifted to ‘safe house’

London, May 30 (ANI): Susan Boyle has reportedly been shifted to a safe house as she prepares to perform in the Britain’s Got Talent finals.

Judge Piers Morgan revealed the Scottish church singer, 48, had thought of packing her bags and quitting the talent show following excessive media criticism.

Morgan said the singing sensation had become “distraught” and was presently spending time with one of her closest friends to beat the pressure.

“She had a rocky moment a couple of days ago when she woke up and saw some very negative headlines and suddenly felt the pressure of world attention,” The BBC quoted Morgan as saying on Radio 5 Live’s Victoria Derbyshire show.

“You have to remember this is someone who has gone from complete anonymity to global stardom in the space of six weeks.

“It’s understandable. People should give her a bit of slack. She’s 24 hours from the biggest day of her life and she’s starting to feel the heat,” he added.

Morgan also revealed that Susan, who shot to overnight stardom with her jaw-dropping performance of the Les Miserables song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the show, had been struggling to cope with the pressure.

He added: “She is very distraught, to the extent where she packed her bags and was going to leave the show. She just didn’t see the point of continuing if every time she picked up the newspapers there was another avalanche of abuse.” (ANI)

London, May 27 (ANI): Demi Moore will fly over to root for Britain’s Got Talent finalist Susan Boyle as part of the audience.

The Flawless star decided to jet in from Los Angeles after judge Simon Cowell invited the actress and her husband Ashton Kutcher first-class plane tickets.

Demi hailed 48-year-old Susan’s first jaw dropping performance of the song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the popular micro-blogging site Twitter, and that saw the beginning of the amateur singer being turned into an overnight celebrity.

“It made me teary!” the Sun quoted Demi as saying on her Twitter page.

And now the stunning star has decided to cheer the Scottish church volunteer when she performs in the forthcoming finals.

Demi was first invited to come over by cheeky judge Amanda Holden, who previously joked on Twitter that the couple could use Simon’s private jet.

Demi tweeted back saying: “Well, if he offers the ride…”

And after talking to the music guru, Amanda tweeted: “Message for Demi!! Please someone get this to her… Simon says Yes!! But to first class tickets!!!”

London, May 26 (ANI): Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle has been practicing her singing day and night, leaving other guests at a hotel sleep deprived.

Susan, 48, who turned into an overnight celebrity with her jaw dropping performance of the song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the talent show, was said to be barely taking any breaks between tuning her vocals at the Wembley Plaza hotel in West London.

Susan Boyle advances to Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals

London, May 24 (ANI): Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle has advanced into the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent, putting her one step closer to the title.

Boyle, who rose to fame after belting out ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ from Les Miserables on the programme, was one of 40 acts selected by judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden to continue in the competition.

Boyle will kick off the first of five semi-finals on Sunday, going up against seven other acts, reports the Telegraph.

Two acts from the five semi-finals will then be voted by the judges and viewers through to the finale, scheduled to air next Saturday on Britain’s ITV network.

They are all competing for the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show and a 100,000 pounds cheque. (ANI)

‘Made-over’ Susan Boyle ‘still’ a virgin

London, May 23 (ANI): Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle is still a virgin despite having a makeover, it has emerged.

The 48-year-old, who turned into an overnight celebrity with her jaw-dropping performance of the Les Miserables song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the talent show, had claimed she had never been with a man and had “never been kissed”.

And despite having groomed herself by ditching her bushy eyebrows and colouring her hair since her rise to stardom, the church volunteer from Scotland is yet to score in her love life, say sources.

“She hasn’t had time to meet a man. She’s had the world camped out on her doorstep and she’s been practising hard,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

Susan Boyle dolls up for grabs online

London, May 18 (ANI): A Susan Boyle fan is selling miniature dolls resembling the Britain’s Got Talent star on the Internet.

Debbie Ritter, from Fisher, Illinois, makes use of clothes pegs, wire and clay to create the four-inch structure of the amateur singer.

The 46-year-old has been selling the dolls with bushy eyebrows and bird’s nest hair to collectors for 14 pounds.

Debbie said that she fell in love with the Scottish virgin who turned into an overnight celebrity amazing all, including US President Barack Obama, with her stunning performance of the song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the talent show.

“It’s a lot of work and each doll takes at least a couple of hours. It’s more of a hobby than a job for me but I sell them to collectors too,” the Telegraph quoted Debbie as saying.

“It’s painstaking work and you need small fingers. When I first saw Susan on television I just fell in love with her and when I heard her voice I had stars in my eyes.

London, May 11 (ANI): Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle defended her recent makeover on The Oprah Winfrey show, insisting that it was just a little “tidying up”.

The 48-year-old, who had stunned all with her jaw-dropping performance of the song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’, had taken up a new look after dyeing her frizzy grey hair and mending her bushy eyebrows.

London, May 6 (ANI): Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle reportedly showed her house around to a television crew for The Oprah Winfrey Show.

The 48-year-old, who had wooed all with her jaw-dropping performance of the Les Misérables song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the talent show, seemed set to join the chat queen Oprah on the sets of the show.

London, May 4 (ANI): In an atypical move, casanova Russell Brand declined the opportunity to have sex with one of the most searched women on You Tube – Susan Boyle.

Britain’s Got Talent’s star Susan, 48, had previously claimed she was a virgin and had never been kissed.

And lothario-comedian Brand, 33, who has previously confessed taking hundreds of girls to bed, said the singing sensation was better without him.

“I don’t think I should be the one to do that. Susan deserves a nice strapping farmer from the North,” the Sun quoted him as saying.

But Brand, whose past ladies have included model Kate Moss, actor Andrew Sach’s dancer granddaughter Georgina Baillie, said he loved listening to the church volunteer from Scotland.
He confessed he was “quite charmed” with her jaw-dropping performance of I Dreamed A Dream, from Les Miserables, on the talent show that had won her thousands of admirers all over the world.

London, Apr 29 (ANI): Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle has rubbished rumours that she’s planning to quit the reality show.

The 48-year-old, who turned an overnight celebrity with her jaw-dropping performance of Les Misérables song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the talent show, said she was not “stressed”.

“I’m not on the verge of a breakdown. I’ve never felt more positive,” the Sun quoted her as saying.

She spoke out after her brother Gerard, 54 said that she was exhausted and unhappy, which led to reports wanted to launch her solo bid for success immediately.

“There is no way I am quitting,” said Susan

“The only way I’d leave the show is if Simon Cowell kicked me out.

London, April 27 (ANI): Family of Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle fear she is close to “cracking up” as relatives and show bosses row over her future career plans.

The 48-year-old, who had turned an overnight celebrity with her jaw-dropping performance of the Les Misrables song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the talent show, is said to be nearing a breakdown.

Her family has expressed fears that she is being robbed of a chance to bank millions of dollars with a tour of America due to the contract with the show.

“Just let her sing. We’re pleading with Simon Cowell to loosen the reins,” the Daily Star quoted her brother John as saying.

He added: “Finally she has the chance to show the whole world her amazing talent, but she isn’t being allowed to.”

London, April 21 (ANI): Singing sensation Susan Boyle’s performance on Britain’s Got Talent may soon go on to top the most-viewed YouTube video list.

The 47-year-old had left everyone dazed with her jaw-dropping performance of the Les Misérables song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the ITV talent show.

According to Web stats firm Visible Measures, 200 videos of Boyle’s performance had wowed fans all over the world with 100 million YouTube hits.

Boyle’s video may challenge the hits achieved by Evolution Of Dance from comedian Judson Laipply which stood at more than 118 million times since 2006.

The church volunteer from Scotland had not only piped viewing figures for Barack Obama’s inauguration speech, 18.5 million, but also surpassed 33.2 million hits gathered by George Bush’s video of ducking a shoe in Iraq.

Britain’s Got Talent’s Susan Boyle accepts Piers Morgan’s dinner invitation

London, April 20 (ANI): Britain’s Got Talent’s star Susan Boyle has accepted judge Piers Morgan’s dinner invitation.

The 47-year-old had left everyone dazed with her jaw-dropping performance of the Les Misérables song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the ITV talent show.

The church volunteer from Scotland had wowed fans all over the world with her performance that had attracted 25 million YouTube hits.

Boyle, who is single and claims she has never been kissed, was invited for dinner by Morgan as both appeared on the talk show Larry King Live.

And the singing sensation promptly accepted the invitation.

Host Larry King further asked Boyle if she would go a for an image makeover following her new-found fame, to which she replied: “Why should I change?”

“Quite right. The great appeal and charm of Susan is the way she is. The way she looks, the way she acts. She is her own woman,” the Telegraph quoted Morgan as saying. (ANI)

Susan Boyle ‘set for duet with idol Elaine Paige’

London, Apr 19 (ANI): Britain’s Got Talent’s unique finding Susan Boyle’s idol Elaine Paige has sent the singing sensation a message of support, insisting they could collaborate for a duet.

Just before her life-changing performance on Britain’s Got Talent, Boyle revealed her dream: to become a professional singer as successful as Paige.

Now, in a message of support, Paige, the original Evita in London’s West End, has suggested the idea of the pair singing together.

“Ever since Susan’s appearance on Britain’s Got Talent my Radio 2 inbox has been flooded with emails,” the Guardian quoted her as stating on her website.

She added: “It seems her performance has captured the hearts of everyone who saw it, me included … it looks like I have competition! Perhaps we should record a duet?”

Paige is just the latest of a string of celebrity endorsers since Boyle’s jaw-dropping performance of the Les Misérables song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the ITV talent show, which has so far attracted 25 million YouTube hits. (ANI)

Freed Dubai sex-on-the-beach man now admits to Clintonesque-oral sex!

London, Jan 4 (ANI): Vince Acors, the UK man convicted of having sex on a Dubai beach, has finally come clean, admitting that he was involved in a sexual act with fellow Brit Michelle Palmer.

Acors, 34, was caught cavorting with Palmer, 36 – a stranger he’d met just hours before at an all-you-can-drink champagne bash.

They told police they had just been “kissing and cuddling”.

But company director Acors – freed on Christmas Eve and still denying the charges – revealed that the couple was semi-naked and Michelle had performed a sex act on him moments before the police turned up.

Back in Britain after a five-month court battle in the teetotal Emirate state, Acors told the Mirror: “I’m a red-blooded bloke who’d spent 13 hours gorging on limitless champagne, vodka and lobster.

“I found myself on a warm beach with a not unattractive woman. We were both drunk and we went for it.

“Yes, we did wrong – but neither of us could ever have dreamed that five minutes of slap and tickle would get us thrown in jail.”

The pair escaped jail only when their lawyer told the court that his clients had agreed to wed.

Acors said: “That was never going to happen…I am already married. He also told us to say we’d just kissed on the cheek – even French kissing in public is illegal there.

“But I didn’t lie…exactly. I told the court I didn’t have sexual intercourse with Michelle. And I didn’t… like Bill Clinton didn’t.” (ANI)
