Megan Fox still has a lot of growing to do, says ‘Transformers’ director

Washington, July 03(ANI): ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ director Michael Bay has slammed Megan Fox, calling her “ridiculous” for speaking against the movie.

Fox told Entertainment Weekly: “I mean, I can’t s**t on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don’t want to blow smoke up people’s a**. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting.”

However, the helmer begs to disagree and instead feels that Fox still “has growing to do”.

“Well, that’s Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

Bay is also not ready to keep secret the fact that he has helped many other stars like Fox in Hollywood turn big through his films.

He added: “Nic Cage wasn’t a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in Armageddon. Shia LaBeouf wasn’t a big movie star before he did Transformers – and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from Bad Boys.

“Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers. I like to think that I’ve had some luck in building actors’ careers with my films.” (ANI)

I had enough of Transformers world: Director Michael Bay

London, June 19 (ANI): Director Michael Bay will not do another Transformers movie because he “needs to do something totally divergent, something without any explosions.”

The comic series made into film, so far directed by Bay, will be back this year with the sequel – Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

The filmmaker expressed his thoughts, saying: “After the three and a half years I’ve spent making these movies, I feel like I’ve had enough of the Transformers world.”

However, the helmer is tired of facing criticism for his action packed films by film critics.

“It’s easy to go shoot an art movie in a winery in the South of France. But people have no idea how hard it is to create something like Transformers. They (the critics) review me before they’ve even seen the movie,” he said.

Nonetheless, Michael is set to try his luck in some other genre of films.

“I need to do something totally divergent, something without any explosions,” he said. (ANI)

‘Transformers 3′ to release on July 1, 2011

Washington, March 17 (ANI): Paramount and DreamWorks have decided on July 1, 2011 to be the release date for ‘Transformers 3′.

Even no writer has been hired for the third instalment as yet, reports Variety magazine.

Paramount has also changed the release of Marvel Entertainment’s ‘Thor’ from June 16, 2011, to May 20, 2011, on behalf of Marvel Entertainment, which is producing and financing the superhero picture.

The change came just days after Marvel said that it was pushing back the release of ‘Thor’ by a year, from July 16, 2010, to June 16, 2011. (ANI)
