June 4 (Reuters) – U.S. copper futures extended an early sell-off Friday, sinking to their lowest levels since mid-October, after a government report showed U.S. non-farm payrolls grew at a less-than-expected rate in May.

London, May 18 (ANI): Liam Hemsworth has come to the defence of girlfriend Miley Cyrus over a saucy video, insisting that she “has a good head on her shoulders”.
The teenage sensation, who shot to fame with her role in Disney’s Hannah Montana series, was seen in a raunchy video, showing her dirty dancing with a movie producer.
Miley has been dating the Australian actor since they met on the set of their film ‘The Last Song’.
And last week, a video from the movie”s wrap party sparked controversy, with footage of Cyrus showing her grinding up against a 44-year-old producer on the dance floor.
However, Hemsworth has insisted that his girlfriend shouldn”t let the media storm bother her, because the criticism is all part of being a star.
“Everyone gets criticism, it”s kind of what comes with this job… everybody”s trying to bring you down. She”s got a good head on her shoulders. She”s a great girl,” the Daily Express quoted him as telling Hollywoodlife.com. (ANI)
New York, May 18 (ANI): Cameron Diaz has admitted that she’s a ”romantic” who isn”t afraid of eloping.
“I am a romantic. I love romance. I”m not afraid of commitment. I commit to everything I”m doing and I am hopelessly loyal,” the actress tells Parade.com.
Though the stunner, 37, who’s reportedly dating Alex Rodriguez, is yet to tie the knot, she has already considered how she is going to walk down the aisle, reports The New York Daily News.
“The mystique and the romance of a big wedding are lost on me. I don”t think that I could ever do something that extravagant,” she admits. “I am not much of a planner. I would probably make the phone call 20 minutes before the bus leaves for the chapel and ask if anyone is available to come. That”s probably how my wedding is going to end up.” (ANI)
New York, May 12 (ANI): Professional baseball player Alex Rodriguez has opted not to have actress Cameron Diaz around at his games this summer.
According to BettyConfidential.com, A-Rod, 34, does not want Diaz, 37, to be a permanent fixture in the stands during his games, much like what ex Kate Hudson did during their relationship.
“He doesn’t want what happened to him and Kate to happen between him and Cameron,” the New York Daily News quoted a source as saying.
“Kate was at every New York game and then some and even went to Alex’s game practice. Things got too clingy too fast,” the source revealed.
Rodriguez, who ended a 13-year relationship with his ex-wife in 2008, is said to have been put off by Hudson trying to fast track their six-month relationship, which ended in December.
He reportedly began dating Diaz after a flirty night out in February during Super Bowl weekend in Miami, and both have since then kept a low profile about their relationship. (ANI)

Cyrus’ new video for single “Can’t Be Tamed” shows her writhing around a cage in a feathered corset singing lyrics such as “I go through guys like money flyin” out their hands” and “Have to get my way, 24 hours a day, ‘cause I’m hot like that.”
The 17-year-old, who previously set off alarms by dancing alongside a pole at the Teen Choice Awards, debuts smoky eyes and a skimpy outfit that includes a 25,000-dollar corset in the video, reports Fox News.

New York, May 4 (ANI): Alex Rodriguez, who is rumoured to be dating Cameron Diaz, recently took the actress out for dinner.
The baseball star, better known as A-Rod, dined with the actress Saturday night at Hotel Griffou with their friend Kate Winslet.
“They all shared a delicious meal and several bottles of French red wine,” the New York Post quoted one source as saying.
A-Rod’s exes include Madonna and Kate Hudson while Diaz has previously dated a host of famous men including Justin Timberlake, Adam Levine, John Mayer and British model Paul Sculfor. (ANI)
Melbourne, May 4 (ANI): Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford says he prefers dating a girl who isn’t an actress.
The 24-year-old heartthrob, who previously dated country music star Carrie Underwood, told Showbizspy that he’d rather be in a relationship with someone who is in a different industry than in the showbiz.
“My friends think that dating within the industry is better because you’re on the same level. You understand more. At the same time it can get a bit sticky because schedules can get tight,” The Daily Telegraph quoted him as saying.
“There are pros and cons to everything, but I think it can be a little more refreshing to date someone who isn’t in the profession.

New York, Apr 28 (ANI): Courtney Love has claimed that she had an affair with Gavin Rossdale during his relationship with Gwen Stefani.
It was during an appearance on Howard Stern”s Sirius XM radio show Monday that the Hole rocker made the claim, reports The New York Daily News.
Love, 45, said that she had a “vision of marrying Gavin Rossdale one time … We were like, ”Let”s go spend our rock star money!””
She said they “had a really good time” together.
“Everyone gave me so much s— because Gavin sounded like a lot like Kurt….” Love said. “But man, he was such an Adonis in his day! He got good in bed … something happened. Maybe Gwen taught him, for all I know.”
When Love was asked if she was sleeping with Rossdale when he was dating Stefani, she said, “Yes … she does know.”
“Everyone … yeah … and a few other people,” Love continued. “We didn”t have a lot of pressure on each other, but we did like each other quite a bit.”

London, Apr.25 (ANI): Roman altar stones dating back almost 2000 years have been found at a cricket pavilion in Musselburgh, East Lothian.
According to the BBC, the stones are being described as the most significant find of their kind in the past 100 years.
Renovations were planned at the pavilion but archaeologists had to survey the protected building before work could begin.
Their unearthing of the stones and other artefacts has postponed the planned developments on the pavilion.
George Findlater, senior inspector of ancient monuments at Historic Scotland, said: “The stones have carvings and quite possibly inscriptions which can have a wealth of information on them, a lot of data about the people and their religion at that time.” (ANI)
Wellington, Apr 24 (ANI): New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris is determined to cement his place in the playing eleven at the 2010 ICC Twenty20 World Cup to be played in the West Indies.
Styris is not about to take anything for granted, as he is aware that despite having been part of the squad for the previous two tournaments, as well as after a successful return to the ODI squad against Australia in March, he is still not back in the Twenty20 line-up.
“I didn”t make it for the home season, so at no stage have I thought I am in the playing XI,” said the 34-year-old Styris.
“I have to go out and put good performances on the board, otherwise I will find myself sitting watching these games, which is not what I want,” he added.
Styris”s inclusion in the T20 format of the game would be a natural step forward, as he had forced his way into the ODI lineup.
The New Zealand cricket team is taking a full-strength team to the West Indies that departs today.
Styris, a veteran of 29 tests from 2002 until his retirement from that form three years ago, 165 ODIs dating back to 1999 and 22 Twenty20s has been an in-and-out figure in the national side in the last couple of years.
“The selectors, over the last 12 to 18 months, have shown in their view. I am not in the Twenty20 side, so I have got to change that, whether I think I should be or not. It”s up to me to go out and try and change their opinion,” said Styris.

Bail has been continued for a former New South Wales doctor accused of sexually assaulting and mutilating patients.
Graeme Reeves, 59, is facing more than 100 sexual assault and fraud charges dating back to 1989.
They involve women he treated at Bega on the New South Wales south coast and at Richmond in Sydney’s north west.
New charges were laid in December and prosecutors have asked for all the charges to be dealt with on the same date.
Downing Centre Local Court has heard that so far 42 volumes of evidence have been prepared but details from 10 complainants and expert reports are still being finalised.
A magistrate has continued bail for the former doctor until the matter returns to court in May.
London, March 27 (ANI): Madonna is planning to give her daughter Lourdes a break in Hollywood by giving her a role in her new film, say sources.
The Material Girl’s new film is based on Edward VIII and it will go on the floor in the summers in London.
The Sun quoted a source as saying, “She has arranged a small role for Lourdes.”
“It”s not a significant part but it will give her a good taste of life in the movie business.
“Lourdes has made it clear she wants some kind of career in the entertainment industry and her mum is more than happy to help.
“She”s already an incredible dancer, thanks to years of classes and she”s also been having singing training.”
Madonna, who’s dating 22-year-old model Jesus Luz, had earlier refused Lourdes a.k.a. Lola to star in a Harry Potter film when she was offered a role in 2007. (ANI)
New York, Mar 23 (ANI): Actress Reese Witherspoon has confirmed rumours that she is dating her current beau after they were spotted stepping out together hand-in-hand.
Witherspoon, 34, and CAA agent Jim Toth were spotted in Ojai, Calif., on March 22 where they celebrated her birthday.
“They looked very happy,” the New York Daily News quoted a West coast source as saying.
The lovebirds were all smiles throughout the day, which started with a romantic lunch at a small Mexican restaurant and continued with a shopping spree.
The duo had sparked rumours of a fling in January, when they had a very “flirtatious” dinner at L.A. eatery Locanda Portofino, just weeks after the actress split with ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.
Toth’s firm represents Witherspoon, so the first rumours about their romance were hushed with the cover story that their meeting was simply a business dinner.
“People were surprised that she bounced back so quickly after dating Jake, but she really likes Jim. I think she was shocked to like someone again so quickly,” a source close to Witherspoon said.

New York, Mar 16 (ANI): Actress Demi Lovato has confirmed that she and fellow Disney star Joe Jonas are dating.
Lovato, 17, broke the news during a radio interview on ‘The Billy Bush Show’ on March 12, when she was asked if she had dated a Jonas brother.
“Umm, maybe,” the New York Daily News quoted her as replying.
Bush grilled her until she admitted that the brother in question was Joe, 20.
“So, you’re dating him now?” Bush asked.
To which Lovato replied, “Yeah, he is my best friend and he is incredible.”
Jonas and Lovato met in 2007 on the set of the Disney show ‘Camp Rock’.
Rumours of a romance began circulating last October when Lovato and Jonas were seen on a double date in Toronto with another Jonas brother, Kevin, and his then-girlfriend (now wife) Danielle Deleasa. (ANI)
Melbourne, March 16 (ANI): A man in South Korea has married his pillow with the image of television vixen Fate Testarossa on it.
Lee Jin-gyu had purchased his ”dakimakura,” a huge body pillow, from Japan.
He has married his pillow with the help of a local priest in Japan.
Apparently, he was dating the pillow for six years.
“They go out to the park or the funfair, where it will go on all the rides with him,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Jin-gyu’s pal as saying.
The friend added: “Then when he goes out to eat, he takes it with him and it gets its own seat and its own meal.”
The pillow was outfitted with its own custom wedding dress during the wedding.
However, Lee had earlier expressed doubts over going through with the marriage.
He said: “My love for Fate is unchangeable, but I will take more time to think about our marriage.” (ANI)
Washington, Sept 16 (ANI): Former O.C. star Mischa Barton is reportedly dating an aspiring actor, Leo Wyndham.
“They’ve been together for over a month now,” Contactmusic quoted a source as saying.
“Leo is out there trying to make it as an actor, so they move in similar circles. He’s been an extremely positive influence on her,” the source added.
Despite claims that her wild partying led to her being cared for on a psychiatric ward, Mischa insists that she was hospitalised after an operation on her wisdom teeth went wrong.
“Really, it was blown out of proportion. It’s kind of silly now to be talking about it because I’m so fine now, but it was just a really bad time for me,” she said.
“I had two surgeries – I had four teeth taken out and it had gone really badly wrong – they had to drill into my jaw and I was just in excruciating pain. I was having Novocaine shots every day to minimise the pain. It really was rock bottom.

London, September 15 (ANI): Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner has said that he postponed his divorce from his estranged second wife for the sake of their children.
The 83-year-old filed for divorce earlier this month, after an 11-year separation from former Playmate of the Year Kimberly Conrad Hefner.
Hefner, presently dating Playmates Crystal Harris, 23, and twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon, 19, said that he waited “because of the children” – his youngest son Cooper turned 18 on September 4.
“Now is the time. I stayed married not because it was a marriage – the marriage ended in 1998. I stayed because she wanted me to,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
The two got married in 1989, and separated nine years later.
They, however, remained legally wed.
Conrad, 47, is the mother of two of Hefner’s four kids, and had for years been supported by him in a home next to the Playboy mansion. (ANI)
Melbourne, Sep 14 (ANI): Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue is said to have left fans in London gasping after she was seen wearing a partially see-through white dress that clung tightly to her figure.
According to the News of the World, Minogue, 41, happily signed autographs and posed in the racy, crocheted dress for fans, as she made her way from her home to a recording studio, reports the Age.
The singer later had her fans in raptures again when she sang with ABBA’s Benny Andersson at the Thank You For The Music tribute show at London’s Hyde Park on September 13.

Washington, Sept 10 (ANI): Janet Jackson has finally admitted that she has broken up with longtime boyfriend Jermaine Dupri.
Dupri’s absence at Janet’s brother Michael Jackson’s public memorial in July had kicked off gossip that the seven-year romance between them was over.
Although she’s single now, the 43-year-old Janet wants to be a mother.
Contactmusic quoted Janet as telling Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “I don’t know if I’ll get married again. I’ll put it like this: if God wants me to, then I will… I’d adopt (children). And I think that if I’m really supposed to have kids, it will happen, if that’s God’s plan for me.”
