Christie Brinkley denies surgery rumors

London, April 30 (ANI): Christie Brinkley has denied that she underwent a cosmetic facelift surgery, while her daughter was admitted for an elective rhinoplasty procedure.

The model was rumoured to have entered the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, a day before her daughter with musician Billy Joel checked-in.

However, the beauty has dismissed the reports.

“Alexa had breathing difficulties due to a deviated septum and decided to correct the appearance of her nose at the same time,” the Daily Star quoted her representative, as telling New York Post gossip column Page Six.

The spokesperson added: “As far as Christie is concerned, she was at Lenox Hill to support her daughter, and throughout her career people have speculated that she”s done this or that, which she always chooses to take as a compliment.” (ANI)

Kanye West’s girlfriend ‘receives top modelling offer’

Washington, July 07(ANI): Kanye West’s girlfriend Amber Rose has reportedly received a top modelling offer.

Her career seems to have taken off after she stripped for a photoshoot with West in April to promote his new shoe line with the high-end designer label Louis Vuitton.

According to New York Post, the hip-hop star had introduced her to a former Ford Models executive.

She announced on Globalgrind.com: “(This is) proof that when you work hard, good things do happen,” Contactmusic reports.

Ford agents have a terrific track record of helming models and actresses like Christie Brinkley, Courteney Cox, Rachel Hunter, Carol Alt, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. (ANI)

Billy Joel skips daughter’s Father’s Day gig

New York, June 24 (ANI): Singer Billy Joel missed his daughter Alexa Ray Joel’s Father’s Day performance in hometown Hamptons.

However, mother Christie Brinkley and half-brother, Jack, 11, were by her side, singing and dancing along at the concert.

According to Plum TV’s Jacquelynn Powers, Alexa called it her “hometown gig” as she grew up in the Hamptons.

“Growing up, I didn’t know my parents were famous. I just thought they knew everybody,” the New York Post quoted her as telling the crowd.

“Everyone was always saying, ‘Hi, Billy,’ ‘Hi, Christie.’ I thought they were just popular,” she added. (ANI)

Washington, June 19 (ANI): Billy Joel’s ex-wife Christie Brinkley has broken her silence on the rocker’s recent split with wife Katie Lee.

Joel’s break-up followed after pictures of the 27-year-old’s dirty dancing pictures with Yigal Azrouel got published on U.S tabloids to the dismay of the singer.

However representative of the Uptown Girl singer denied saying the “decision to separate was absolutely unrelated to Yigal.”

Contactmusic reports, Brinkley, showed she cared for her ex-husband while speaking to Access Hollywood.

“My heart goes out to them. It’s sad news, but Billy is a great dad and a great friend, so of course, I wish him the best,” she said.

The beauty had parted ways with Peter Cook last year. (ANI)

The American beauty admits she’s quite fond of the singer/songwriter herself but insists her “cougar days” are over when it comes to dating toyboys.

“He’s perfect dating material for my daughter… You guys could make beautiful music together,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Billy Joel’s wife denies infidelity claims

London, Apr 16 (ANI): Rocker Billy Joel’s wife has rubbished reports that she is romantically involved with Israeli designer Yigal Azrouel.

Katie Lee, 27, who wed the rocker in 2004, is baffled by the reports and branded the rumours “mean-spirited and untrue” on her Twitter page.

Her representative also denied the claims.

“They’ve just been friends – purely platonic,” the Daily Express quoted the rep as telling Usmagazine.

Chef Lee sparked claims of infidelity after she and Azrouel were photographed dancing intimately during a night out late last month.

Lee’s rep also cleared up any reports suggesting she has been feuding with Joel over her desire to start a family.

Joel, who has a grown up daughter from his relationship with supermodel Christie Brinkley, is allegedly against the idea of having another child at the age of 59, but the rep insists, “There is no issue over babies.” (ANI)

Christie Brinkley turns to West Side Story to teach son about gang violence

Washington, Mar 24 (ANI): American model Christie Brinkley has revealed that she turned a viewing of revived Broadway musical West Side Story into a life lesson for her teenage son.

Brinkley, 55, wanted her son to understand the violence of gangs and the danger involved with them, when she saw 13-year-old Jack and his sister reading an ad recruiting people to a gang.

“Not too long ago, my son and daughter were on an online game, and a pop-up ad came up and they were trying to recruit the kids to a gang. And I thought ‘Oh my gosh!’” Contactmusic quoted her as telling the New York Daily News.

“I thought he (son) could learn a thing or two from the show. Kids back then joined gangs, and (it) is relevant as these gangs are re-emerging,” she added. (ANI)

‘Energetic’ Christie Brinkley wants to take advantage of 2009

Washington, Jan 19 (ANI): After getting over her bitter split from hubby Peter Cook, model Christie Brinkley is energised in 2009.

The 54-year-old American model was present at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, where she unveiled her new “Got Milk?” ad to raise awareness.

“I want to seize the day and take advantage of this year,” People quoted Brinkley as saying.

“I am so energized. I am really looking forward to the inauguration. I see this as a huge time for opportunity.

“This is the time for change. I am so appreciative of everything I have,” she added.

Brinkley is working on an organic line of bedding and bath products and will soon be designing jewellery

“I’m also designing a line of jewellery – eclectic but affordable,” she said. (ANI)
