Want to start a family with Ashley: Cheryl

Singer Cheryl Cole has revealed that she is still in love with her footballer ex-husband Ashley and wants to get back with him so they can start a family together.

Cheryl, 27, had reportedly spent the night with her ex-husband at the couple’s former 5 million pounds marital home in Surrey.

And according to the News of the World, a source close to Cheryl, 27, revealed that the Girls Aloud member had told friends that she is very happy.

It was if we’d wound the clock back two years. I felt happy for the first time in a long time, the Daily Mail quoted the source as revealing what Cheryl had said.

She doesn’t want to wait until she’s over 30 to start a family. And she thinks Ashley’s the most natural person to be dad to her babies, the source added.

While her friends and family are said to be horrified at the possibility of a reunion between her and Ashley, 30, a friend of the Chelsea star said Cheryl is just following her heart.

She wants to follow her heart and do what will make her happy. But she has to sort her life out first, the friend said.

He was blamed for the end of the marriage and that’s fair enough. But Cheryl has to take some responsibility. Her career always came first.

But if Cheryl takes him back she’ll put everything into the relationship. Her career is far less important to her than starting a family, the friend added.

Lampard determined to be England”s nominated penalty taker

London, May 18 (ANI): Ace midfielder Frank Lampard has insisted he would not shy away from taking spot-kicks during the World Cup finals in South Africa this summer and is determined to be England”s nominated penalty taker.

“Frank Lampard has promised he can beat England”s World Cup penalty curse. England fans would have been left fearing the worst at the sight of the Chelsea star missing a penalty in the FA Cup final at Wembley,” reports Mirror.

“I have missed penalties for England, I have missed penalties for Chelsea and it comes with the territory. But it would not put me off,” said Lampard.

“I am big enough to stand up. I missed [in the final] and it will play on my mind a little, but it will be completely overshadowed by the fact that we won the game and won the Double,” he added.

“It”s quite good for me too because that kind of thing makes me address it and look at it and when I go away with England I will work on that kind of stuff. Sometimes you need a little reminder of what you have got to do,” claimed Lampard.

Despite Lampard missing two penalties for his club this season, he still has an exceptional record from the penalty spot for club and country.

“England, World Cups and penalties do not go well together as Lampard will remember from seeing his spot-kick saved in the shoot-out with Portugal in the 2006 quarter-final defeat. He has not missed for England since being given penalty duties after the last World Cup, scoring four out of four,” reports Mirror.

The midfielder has managed a season”s best tally of 26 goals in 50 games for Chelsea this term and the two missed penalties are unlikely to play on his mind too much.

“It was a disappointing penalty at Wembley to say the least. I actually changed my mind in the run-up, which is a bit of a sin. Once you do that, you are probably going to miss and I did that,” admitted Lampard. (ANI)

Boxer Amir Khan wants to marry Cheryl Cole

London, May 03 (ANI): Boxer Amir Khan has admitted that he likes Cheryl Cole and wouldn’t mind marrying her.

The world champ has slammed Cheryl’s estranged husband Ashley Cole for cheating on the ‘Girls Aloud’ star and has said that he would love to take the Chelsea star’s place in the singer’s life.

“This could be the arranged marriage I”m after. Cheryl”s a very nice girl, very pretty,” the Sun quoted him as saying.

And he’s assured her to lend his shoulder for her to cry on.

“I”d definitely give her a hug. It doesn”t matter how famous you are, if your lover hurts you, you”re devastated,” he added.

“I think there are a lot of distractions for footballers with all the money they earn, and all the women that approach them.

“But it”s up to the players to be strong-minded. And I think they are weak.

“Ashley Cole and John Terry shamed their families. If I was married I would never do that. They should make the most of what they have and not look elsewhere,” he added. (ANI)

Wayne Bridge to pay £1m to Vanessa Perroncel

London, March 27 (ANI): English soccer star Wayne Bridge has to pay former flame Vanessa Perroncel, who had an alleged affair with his team mate John Terry, one million pounds.

The lingerie model also made him double the cash he pays for their three-year-old son, Jaydon.

The footballer now has to increase the monthly payments from 3,000 pounds to 6,000 pounds.

Perroncel is apparently joyous after her attorneys and the Chelsea star’s lawyers reached the agreement.

The recipient of the money will be Perroncel until Jaydon reaches 18.

At 72,000 pounds-a-year that adds up to over 1million pounds.

“The feeling for Vanessa was more of relief than anything else,” the Mirror quoted a pal as saying.

The friend added: “She did not make any unreasonable demands but feels the agreement takes into account Wayne’s earnings, which add up to more than 350,000pounds-a-month.

“It was her birthday on Tuesday and now she feels like she can have a joint celebration.”

Meanwhile, Perroncel’s spokesman refuted reports that she had demanded 20,000 pounds monthly.

He said: “She was not demanding the sort of sums which have been mentioned. But she is pleased.” (ANI)

London, March 23 (ANI): English footballer Ashley Cole has another secret liaison – to music.

The Chelsea star teamed up with rapper 50 cent on a track for the film ‘Dead Man Running’, which he co-produced with Rio Ferdinand.

“He”s a good guy, man. We”ve only worked together twice but the time I”ve been around him he”s been a gentleman,” the Sun quoted Fiddy as saying.

“He”s passionate about music. We wrote a song together for the Dead Man Running soundtrack.

“We created an idea on set and it was in the film,” Fiddy added. (ANI)

Cheryl Cole was planning to have kids before hubby’s sexcapades were exposed

London, March 23 (ANI): Cheryl Cole’s brother Andrew Tweedy has revealed that the singer was planning to become a mother before her husband/soccer star Ashley’s affairs were exposed.

The Girls Aloud lead’s sibling suggested she should divorce the England footballer, as he had run out of “get out of jail free cards”.

“I am absolutely devastated for Cheryl. It was such a shock because everything appeared to be hunky dory,” the Daily Star quoted Andrew, 29, as stating.

He added: “We come from a big family and Cheryl has got the maternal instinct.

“It was common knowledge that they were thinking about it and trying to organise how to sort things out with their careers to get around it. What’s happened has hit her really hard.”

Tweedy, a recovering alcoholic who has been in prison in the past, said the Chelsea star wanted to attend counselling sessions to save his marriage but Cheryl refused.

He said: “He’s obviously trying to worm his way back in but she’s not having any of it, he has done it too many times now.

“She has already given him chances but I don’t think he’s got any more get out of jail free cards left.”

Also, he branded Ashley “arrogant” for complaining about Arsenal’s 55,000 pounds-a-week offer, after he demanded 60,000 pounds.

Tweedy ended: “Cheryl knows the value of money but f***ing hell, some people are lucky to get 55 pound a week. She should’ve put a rocket up his arse about that.” (ANI)

Ashley Cole ‘meets Cheryl for first time after affair exposé’

London, March 13 (ANI): Ashley Cole reportedly met with wife Cheryl for the first time in the same house since news broke of the footballer’s extra marital affairs.

The Chelsea star was said to have jetted home from Biarritz, South West France, for a face-to-face talk with the X Factor judge at their Surrey mansion in the UK.

“Cheryl was in the house when he arrived back. She agreed that he could return and she would be there. But she has not taken him back. It was not a reunion. They had a lot to talk about,” the Sun quoted a pal as saying.

“There was a lot of emotional chat about how to move forward. But Cheryl is still incredibly angry and upset and determined to leave and set up a new life. She was prepared to hear what he had to say but that”s it,” the pal added. (ANI)

Real Madrid to bid for Ashley Cole

London, July 4 (ANI): Spanish football giant Real Madrid are expected to bid for Chelsea star Ashley Cole, after he rejected a new deal with the Blues.

According to reports, Cole has rejected the new contract which would have left him at least 30,000 pounds-a-week short of the club’s top earners.

“Ashley loves Chelsea and is genuinely excited about working with new manager Carlo Ancelotti. He wants to give the best years of his career to the club but the deal has to be right for such an important contract,” The Sun quoted a source, as saying.

“He needs to feel as valued as any of the club’s other top players,” the source added.

Real Madrid president Florentine Perez and new manager Manuel Pellegrini would be aiming to sign Cole to strengthen their club’s defence.

Apart from Madrid, European champions Barcelona are also eying the left-wing back player who currently has a 70,000 pounds-a week contract. (ANI)

Lampard’s ex fiancie ‘takes revenge by snogging mystery man in public’

London, May 17 (ANI): Frank Lampard’s ex fiancie Elen Rives seems to have got back at the “cheating” footie ace by smooching a mystery man in public before spending the night with him at a hotel, according to reports.

The Spanish beauty, who dumped the Chelsea star in February, was spotted flaunting a new hunk in the streets of London.

The former model was seen guzzling pink champagne cocktails with the mystery guy at the posh Soho House private members’ club.

The two reportedly kept kissing and cuddling while hopping between bars and later checked into a five-star hotel for the night.

“Frank used to say he loved Elen’s passion and that was certainly on display with this new guy. And once they started kissing it was no holds barred,” News of the World quoted one witness as saying.

“They were snogging on every corner, in doorways and alleyways. They didn’t care who saw them. Elen is clearly smitten,” the witness added.

And a friend of the beauty confirmed: “Elen has met someone she really likes and has fun with. It’s early days but they laugh together, which is exactly what she needs to take her mind off everything.” (ANI)

Drogba faces a big UEFA ban for F-word tirade at referee

London, May 7 (ANI): Chelsea striker Didier Drogba faces a big UEFA ban after he hurled an F-word tirade at Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo as Barcelona hit a 93rd-minute goal to reach the Champions League final.

Millions of stunned TV viewers saw Drogba square up to the ref on the pitch after he had rejected four penalty appeals.

Drogba screamed obscenities at the TV cameras, forcing Sky to issue a rushed apology. Then the Ivory Coast star stormed down the tunnel and hurled abuse at Ovrebo, The Sun reports.

An eyewitness said: “Drogba was coming down the tunnel with referee Ovrebo alongside him. He kept shouting at Henning and the referee stopped.” Drogba turned towards the ref and put his face just three or four inches from the ref’s face and kept shouting. He told the ref ‘This is a f***ing disgrace, you don’t have respect, something like that can’t happen. You can’t do that’.

“All the time he used his hand to intimidate the ref further. He kept slamming his hand to the wall just inches from the ref’s face. Ovrebo looked terrified – but never said anything,” the eyewitness added.

Chelsea star Michael Ballack then joined in until the terrified referee ran back on to the pitch to avoid more confrontation.

The eyewitness also added: “Drogba looked crazy. He had lost control. But he never laid a finger on the ref, even though his behaviour was anything but civil.”

Last night Ovrebo admitted to UEFA representatives at the match that he had made “significant mistakes” during the game. But Drogba’s behaviour is certain to trigger a UEFA probe.

Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink defended the disgraceful reaction of his players. “I can fully understand the emotion of the game, the players’ disappointment. It’s not just one decision made in doubt but several decisions.” (ANI)

Lamps then moved onto the Boujis night spot in South Kensington for a long night of partying with fellow clubbers.

Chelsea star Lampard says young players have it too easy

London, Mar.31 (ANI): Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard is of the view that many young footballers lack dedication and enjoy the “trimmings” of their well-paid trade too early.

Lampard fears this comfort zone will stop certain players from maturing into top-class internationals.

Lampard was noted during his formative years at West Ham United for his hunger for extra training, including working on his speed, mobility and stamina. Even now, at 30 and preparing for his 69th cap against Ukraine in the World Cup 2010 qualifier at Wembley tomorrow, Lampard is one of the last to leave training, often staying on to hone his free-kick technique.

The former Footballer of the Year has encouraged younger players at Chelsea and England to be more professional.

“Not enough of them are. It’s something I feel very strongly about. There are good young pros out there but nowadays it’s made much too easy for them,” The Telegraph quoted Lampard, as saying.

“We’re all lucky to be where we are, leading nice lifestyles, but that lifestyle is coming earlier and earlier. The lads are forgetting the hard work that needs to be done to earn that lifestyle,” he added.

“I have had a word with some of them. I’m close to one or two of the younger Chelsea boys. I’m not digging out everyone. There are some who are good young lads who want to be top players. We have a fantastic Academy at Chelsea. But players don’t clean boots any more and I’m a big advocate of that,” he said. (ANI)

Chelsea star Drogba says football is nothing compared Ivory Coast tragedy

London, Mar.31 (ANI): Chelsea’s Ivory Coast international striker Didier Drogba has said that football is nothing compared to the death of 19 people in a deadly stadium stampede before a World Cup qualifier in Ivorian capital Abidjan.
Drogba, who scored two goals as Ivory Coast beat Malawi 5-0 in a game that was still staged following the tragedy at the 45,000-capacity Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium, said: I am disappointed by what has happened, it is hard to take. Football is nothing. You are talking about the deaths of 19 people. When things like that happen it makes you realize how much people care about their country and their team.”

As well as the 19 deaths, including two children, more than 132 spectators were injured when part of a wall collapsed as ticketless fans stormed one of the entrances.

Fans who survived the crush have blamed police for the tragedy, saying security forces provoked the panic by throwing tear-gas at people who had nowhere to run.

Drogba’s team-mate, Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure has urged his team-mates to pay tribute to those who lost their lives by ensuring Ivory Coast reach the World Cup in South Africa in 2010. (ANI)

Frank Lampard’s ‘brunette conquest’ weeks after split with fiancee

London, March 8 (ANI): Frank Lampard was spotted scoring points with a gorgeous brunette just a month after his fiancée decided to part ways with him.

The English midfielder, who allegedly cheated on mum of his two daughters Elen Rives twice during their fiery seven-year relationship, had reportedly been on a string of dates with 23-year-old Saskia Boxford.

The 30-year-old was recently seen at the posh Kensington restaurant Koi, where he was later joined by his alleged new girl, who works for a fashion house in London, for dinner.

The pair was later said to have been clubbing at Chelsea’s Raffles before heading to Saskia’s west London flat in the wee hours.

The Chelsea star was also spotted with the stunning brunette at the Pigs Ear pub before going to La Famiglia restaurant for dinner and later to a club.

A fellow diner told us: “They were obviously quite close, whispering in each other’s ears and gazing into each other’s eyes. Very lovey-dovey,” News of the World quoted a fellow diner as saying.

His rep, who confirmed the split with ex model Elen, had previously said: “No one else is involved.”

During the time a friend said: “It’s the saddest thing Elen’s ever had to do, but the love has gone. She was the one who ended it and she’s the one who’s moving out. The passion has gone out of their relationship.

“There have been no huge rows-though obviously there were massive problems when he was splashed over the papers with other women.” (ANI)
