Flintoff to coach UAE cricket team for six months

London, Sep 18(ANI): England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff will be coaching the United Arab Emirates national team during the period that he recovers from knee surgery.

“A partnership has been agreed with Dubai Sports City to use their gym and facilities as a base for his rehabilitation. In return he will be carrying out some coaching for the UAE national team over the next six months,” The Independent quoted Andrew Chandler, Flintoff’s agent, as saying.

Consistently rated amongst the top international all-rounders in both ODI and Test cricket, Flintoff had announced his retirement from Test cricket at the conclusion of the 2009 Ashes series, but made himself available for future commitments in One Day International and Twenty20 International matches.

Flintoff’s career has also been marred with injuries due to his heavy frame and bowling action. He recently had surgery on his knee, which had been troubling him for long, and last week he had moved to Dubai, where he hopes to open a cricket academy.

“His partnership with Sports City will also help raise the profile of his Dubai academy,” Chandler added. (ANI)

Insurers had forced MJ to pay off child molestation accuser, says book

Washington, July 9 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s insurance company had forced the King of Pop to pay 20 million dollars to his first child molestation accuser to get rid of the charges, according to a new book.

Although the cash deal had left many people believing the singer to be guilty, investigative journalist Ian Halperin claims in his new tome ‘Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson’ that the singer was not a paedophile who preyed on children.

“The book shows documents proving that Michael’s insurance company forced the (Jordy) Chandler settlement on him against his will and against the advice of his lawyers. He collapsed in hysterics when he found out he had to do that,” Contactmusic quoted an insider, who has read the upcoming book, as telling In Touch magazine.

The book also suggests that Jackson was secretly gay and once picked up a construction worker in Las Vegas. (ANI)

Jackson fed boys wine before sexually abusing them: Ex-housekeeper

London, July 5 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s former housekeeper has revealed that the King of Pop used to lock the boys in his bedroom and fed wine from babies’ bottles before sexually abusing them.

Adrian McManus worked for the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker for four years and had the only keys to his downstairs private quarters, which included his main bedroom with the children’s rooms in a loft above him.

“Every night I went home feeling sick to my stomach,” the News of the World quoted McManus one of the Neverland Five who sued him for wrongful dismissal.

“He was a lonely, deranged, sick human tragedy. And he wasn’t playing at being a boy again, this man was molesting boys,” she added.

McManus said that the 50-year-old singer was at his happiest when he had little boys with him.

He also kept wine in his room to spike soft drinks – which he gave to the boys.

“He was at his happiest when he had little boys with him,” she said. “He would lock himself in his bedroom for days at a time with them. He acted inappropriately with at least ten boys,” she said.

“He would buy dozens of these baby bottles for the older kids. It was obvious he was drinking and slipping wine into their drinks,” she added.

McManus revealed how she saw Jackson abuse Jordy Chandler in his room.

“I saw Michael kiss and touch Jordan. They both bounded into the bedroom, soaking wet, after playing under the waterfall at the side of the house.

“Then Michael just lent forward slowly and kissed Jordan on the lips.

“Michael then moved his hand down. I froze and realised that my boss was a paedophile,” she added.
McManus said that he even issued veiled death threats to his staff to stop them telling cops about it. (ANI)
