UK women compare bedroom antics most to Sex and the City’s Charlotte

London, April 29 (ANI): A new survey has found that most UK women compare their bedroom antics to that of ‘Sex and the City’ character Charlotte.

The survey by Bayer Schering Pharma was conducted to mark the release of the movie ‘Sex And The City 2’, reports the Sun.

It revealed that 34 percent of the 1000 women quizzed, shared Charlotte’s fumble foibles, that is, they are too easily embarrassed and don’t enjoy experimenting in bed.

Another 32 percent confessed they are too exhausted to even bother with sex (or their bikini line!) like Miranda.

About 21 percent relate to Carrie who experiments a little and loves to wear sexy clothes and designer heels to get in the mood.

And only 13 percent of the female population compared their bedroom antics to man-eating Samantha. (ANI)

Ex Miss California Prejean, pageant officials had issues before controversy

Washington, September 3 (ANI): Former Miss California Carrie Prejean had issues with pageant officials prior to the controversy surrounding her contest answer, it has emerged.

The 22-year-old recently slapped the state organization with a lawsuit, alleging it discriminated against her religious beliefs and caused her emotional distress.

Her lawyers also alleged that the beauty queen was stripped off her crown due to her anti-gay marriage activism, which she made public in her answer during the national pageant in April.

And now, leaked emails exchanged between Carrie and the pageant officials suggest things were not running smoothly between the two parties long before their row over her stance on same-sex unions erupted, reports Fox News.

Carrie was said to have snapped ties with her state team several weeks before the competition, according one alleged e-mail from Carrie to Miss California co-director Keith Lewis.

It reportedly read: “I WILL NOT BE VERBALLY AND EMOTIONALLY ABUSED ANYMORE BY ANY OF YOU. I HAVE A COMPETITION TO PREPARE FOR. I WILL NO LONGER BE DEALING WITH ANYONE WHO IS GOING TO BRING ME DOWN AT THIS POINT. I WILL ONLY SURROUND MYSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO MAKE ME HAPPY. AND RIGHT NOW, THAT IS NONE OF YOU. I WILL SEE YOU ALL IN APRIL. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME AT ALL FROM THIS POINT FORWARD.”

Lewis said: “Our differences began in January. Carrie became a challenge. She wanted everyone to jump through hoops for her, but she wasn’t willing to cooperate. She is very good at receiving, but not at giving. We were very patient with Carrie, but she wasn’t following … her contract.” (ANI)

Sarah Jessica Parker resumes filming for ‘Sex And The City’ sequel

London, September 2 (ANI): Sarah Jessica Parker has returned to the set of ‘Sex And The City’ movie to film scenes in New York.

The actress got back to the shooting from her 10-week break after a surrogate mother gave birth to her twin girls, Marion and Tabitha.

Parker was seen wearing 1,975-pound gold five-inch crystal-encrusted heels and sheer white dress for the sequel, reports the Daily Express.

The star, who plays columnist Carrie in the hit series, lives with her husband Matthew Broderick in Manhattan with the newborns and their son James Wilkie, 6.

She will share the frame with co-stars Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall, and Kristin Davis, for the movie due to be released in May next year. (ANI)

Carrie Prejean to star in ‘Celebrity Apprentice’

Washington, Aug 22 (ANI): Disgraced Miss California, Carrie Prejean, has been in talks with Donald Trump over the past few weeks to star in the third installment of his hit NBC show “Celebrity Apprentice.”

“Carrie really wants to do it. Trump keeps going back and forth over it, he doesn’t really care either way,” Fox News quoted a source, as saying.

According to a rep for Trump, the casting process is ongoing and nothing has been determined.

A spokesperson for the 22-year-old former pageant princess told Fox News that they were “unaware” of the negotiations taking place. (ANI)

Ex-Miss USA says Sarah Palin can offer ‘so much more’

Washington, July 10 (ANI): Responding to Sarah Palin’s resignation from the post of Alaska Governor, former Miss USA Shanna Moakler has said that the former Republican Vice-Presidential candidate can still do “so much more”.

The reality star has said that Palin certainly has the potential to really make an impact.

“I think she can make a lot more money if she resigns, she has a lot more to offer us than her current position,” Fox News quoted Moakler as saying at Diddy’s White Party over the weekend.

Moakler hit headlines earlier this year when she resigned from her position at the co-executive director of the Miss California pageant, after Donald Trump announced that the controversial Carrie Prejean could keep her crown.

Sarah Palin defends ‘liberal target’ Miss California

Washington, May 14 (ANI): Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has defended controversy laden Miss California Carrie Prejean against “the liberal onslaught of malicious attacks.”

Carrie was speculated to have lost the Miss USA crown after she spoke against same sex marriages while responding to a question during the competition.

The 21-year-old, who bagged the first runner-up title on April 19, had evoked a mixed reaction for her anti-gay marriage answer, with some crying out for her title to be stripped off her while conservatives hailed her as a star.

And now, the former vice-presidential nominee for the 2008 United States presidential election has praised the beauty for standing tall for her beliefs and not succumbing to “politically-motivated attacks”.

“I respect Carrie for standing strong and staying true to herself, and for not letting those who disagree with her deny her protection under the nation’s First Amendment Rights. Our Constitution protects us all – not just those who agree with the far left,” the Politico quoted Palin as saying.

She added: “What I find so remarkable is that these politically-motivated attacks fail to show that what Carrie and I believe is also what President Obama and Secretary Clinton believe – marriage is between a man and a woman.”

Palin, 45, further commended Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA organization, for not taking away Carrie’s Miss California crown after her nude picture was leaked online following her answer in the contest. (ANI)

Donald Trump to make the final call on Miss USA runner-up’s fate

Washington, May 12 (ANI): The fate of Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean now lies in the hands of Donald Trump, who will decide what to do with the controversy laden Miss California.

The Miss USA organization owner will make the final call after the 21-year-old beauty appeared to have stained her reputation with anti-gay marriage activism, topless picture, and breast enhancements.

Miss California USA co-executive director Shanna Moakler said that Prejean had snapped all communication.

“Carrie has been unavailable to us, to her sponsors and to her responsibilities as Miss California USA because of her commitment to outside organizations,” People magazine quoted Moakler as saying at a news conference in Beverly Hills.(ANI)

Carrie Prejean being encouraged to surrender Miss California title

Washington, May 9 (ANI): Miss California Carrie Prejean is being encouraged to surrender her title, in the wake of recent controversy surrounding her anti-gay marriage stance and nude photos.

Keith Lewis, the director of the Miss California pageant, has said that the 21-year-old beauty queen is giving preference to her views than what her title represents.

“We are just trying to move forward in what is the best way for the organization, the women, the titleholder and the state. Carrie is still Miss California USA, but right now she is not acting in the capacity of Miss California USA. She is acting as Carrie Prejean and working on things that are important to Carrie Prejean,” Fox News quoted Lewis as saying.

In fact, many pageant insiders and former title-holders have said that if Prejean wishes to continue her crusade in advocating her traditional views of marriage, she should first resign from her role as Miss California.

“I think it’s awesome that she’s found something that she’s very passionate about and found this voice, but if she wants to pursue that and emphasize those opinions she should do it as Carrie not as Miss California so therefore I do think she should step down,” said Miss USA 2004 Shandi Finnessey.

She added: “But I actually think it’s sad you turn on the TV and everyone is so concerned about a beauty queen and whether or not she will lose her title. But I understand it’s important because she now is Miss California USA and she has to represent that title and not necessarily herself.”

Meanwhile, Prejean did not turn up for the shooting of a PSA, titled ‘I Believe … The Beauty of California’, aimed at promoting the diversity of California. (ANI)

Miss California offered $1M for porn movie role

Melbourne, May 8 (ANI): While Miss California Carrie Prejean is suggested to be on the verge of losing her crown over nude-photo controversy and anti-gay marriage stance, she has been offered a whopping one million dollars for doing a porn movie role.

According to TMZ.com, adult film company Vivid Entertainment has asked Carrie to play a saucy role in one of its films.

In fact, in formal offer, mailed off to Prejean on May 6, Vivid has made it clear that their offer is not aimed to cash-in on her recent publicity.

“This is purely a business offer and has nothing to do with your religion or your personal beliefs,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Vivid as saying.

Prejean recently hit headlines when her teenage nude photos were made public, and the furore over her support to an anti-gay marriage group. (ANI)

Miss USA runner-up calls topless photo leak a bid to disgrace her

Washington, May 6 (ANI): Miss USA runner up Carrie Prejean has said that her leaked topless picture is an attempt to disgrace her for her anti-gay marriage views.

The reigning Miss California was speculated to have lost the Miss USA crown after she spoke against same sex marriages, while responding to a question during the competition.

The 21-year-old recently landed in hot water again after her nude photo emerged on the Internet, leaving her to face the threat of being stripped of her Miss California title.

Prejean said that she was convinced the move was a deliberate attempt to humiliate her.

“My comments defending traditional marriage have led to intimidation tactics that seek to undermine my reputation and somehow silence me and my beliefs, as if opinion is only a one-way street,” Us magazine quoted her as saying in a statement.

The beauty queen further claimed that she was a teenager when the photograph was taken, and that the shot was meant to be used in a portfolio.

She added: “I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos.”

Prejean said that the snaps, taken of her as at 17, were “released surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith.”

She insisted: “I am not perfect, and I will never claim to be But these attacks on me and others who speak in defense of traditional marriage are intolerant and offensive. While we may not agree on every issue, we should show respect for others’ opinions and not try to silence them through vicious and mean-spirited attacks.” (ANI)

Miss USA runner-up now in topless photo scandal

Melbourne, May 6 (ANI): Controversy refuses to die down on Miss California Carrie Prejean, who after losing the Miss USA crown for her anti-gay marriage views, has now landed in a new row over a nude photo.

A topless picture showing the 21-year-old posing provocatively is making its rounds on the Internet.

Prejean claims that she was a teenager when the photograph was taken, and that the shot was meant to be used in a portfolio.

“I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures including lingerie and swimwear photos,” the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying.

But officials at the Miss California USA organisation fear Prejean, as Miss California, may have put her role model status in danger, reports Pinkisthenewblog.com.

Pageant spokesman Roger Neal revealed that, as per a clause in her Miss California USA contract, Prejean is barred from being “photographed in a state of partial or total nudity”, reports Foxnews.com.

Prejean now faces the threat of being stripped off her title, and a decision regarding the matter is expected soon. (ANI)

Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean joins gay marriage ad campaign

Washington, May 1 (ANI): The debate on gay marriage refuses to die down on Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean who has now joined the National Organization for Marriage as part of a national ad campaign that invites people to voice their opinion on the topic without criticism.

Miss California was speculated to have lost the Miss USA crown after she spoke against same sex marriages while responding to a question during the competition.

The 21-year-old, who bagged the first runner-up title on April 19, had evoked a mixed reaction after her anti-gay marriage answer.

And now, Prejean has joined forces with a 1.5 billion dollar national ad campaign to show her support in favour of traditional marriages.

“This is not about me. It’s about the future of marriage. It’s about my children and my children’s children. It’s about me standing up for something I’m extremely passionate about,” Fox News quoted her as saying at the National Press Club in Washington.

She continued: “I was ready to be Miss USA that night on that stage, and I was faced with a very controversial question. I had a choice to stand up for what I believe in or to compromise that for the tiara.” (ANI)

US model Shanna Moakler stands up for gay marriage

Washington, Apr 30 (ANI): American model Shanna Moakler has decided to make it very clear that she was “hurt and upset” by first runner up in Miss USA 2009 pageant Carrie Prejean’s comment about gay and lesbian marriage.

Moakler, 34, was upset by Prejean saying that a “marriage should be between a man and a woman”, and she has decided to make a stand for what she believed in – the right for gay and lesbian couples to marry.

The model was in North Hollywood on April 28 with co-executive state pageant director Keith Lewis as they prepared Miss USA 2006 first runner-up Tamiko Nash and last year’s Miss California Raquel Beezley to shoot a NO H8 Campaign.

The campaign hopes to raise awareness and eventually have Proposition 8 over-turned in California.

“It’s important for us right now to participate in this, especially given the conversation surrounding Miss California. We’re here showing we’re a family, we agree to disagree and support our beliefs,” Fox News quoted Lewis as saying, as Moakler nodded in agreement.

“It’s been a difficult time but we want to show that there are a lot of different families, I was raised by a single mom, and I am dad to two children that are being raised by two moms. Can’t we all just love each other and get along and celebrate the fact that people are able to find true love?

“We are working through it; we’re a family in resolution. We really want to give Carrie an opportunity to express her beliefs, the Miss California system is about empowering women to be strong and independent and stand up for whatever they believe in.

“So as soon as Carrie is done explaining her beliefs we really look forward to her coming back to our platform. I’m proud that she was able to stand there and utter whatever it was that came out of her mouth. I’m a 45-year-old man and I don’t think I could explain myself to millions of people,” he added. Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean got bosom boost before pageant

New York, April 30 (ANI): Miss California Carrie Prejean got a boob job done six weeks before competing in the Miss USA competition.

Miss California pageant directors told ‘Access Hollywood’ that Prejean was gifted with a new pair of knockers before the beauty pageant, reports the New York Daily News.

Prejean, who was the first runner-up for the Miss USA crown, caused a stir when she expressed her views on gay marriage during the competition.

The blonde bombshell later blamed her second place finish on her conservative answer on whether states should legalize gay marriage.

She said: “I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage.”

“And you know what? I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised,” she added. (ANI)

Miss USA Kristen Dalton not taking sides in Carrie Prejean controversy

New York, Apr 24 (ANI): The newly crowned Miss USA is not taking anybody’s sides in the controversy surrounding runner-up Carrie Prejean’s anti-gay marriage comments.

Prejean’s response to the question by judge Perez Hilton, an openly gay gossip blogger, led to a huge furore, with many arguing that the answer cost Prejean the crown.

But, the crown-wining beauty Dalton is in no mood to adding more fuel to the fire and is thus being diplomatic.

“Carrie is obviously very passionate about her beliefs,” The New York Daily News quoted Dalton as saying at City Harvest’s ‘Practical Magic’ event.

She added: “I respect her as an American, a fellow competitor and her friend.

“Although I’m her friend, [I don't want to defend her to her detractors] because that’s their right as well. They feel really strongly about their opinion for pro-gay rights, and that’s great.” (ANI)

Michael Phelps: I’m not dating anybody

Washington, Apr 24 (ANI): Olympic star Michael Phelps has denied reports suggesting that he’s romancing controversial Miss California contestant Carrie Prejean.

“I’m not dating anybody,” he told Usmagazine.com Wednesday at the opening of the Omega flagship boutique in NYC.

“I’m single. My private life stays private,” he added.

As for Prejean’s anti-gay marriage answer during the Miss USA competition, Phelps said: “That’s the cool thing about America – everybody has their opinion.”

“I’m not saying I support her,” Phelps then added.

“I’m not saying I don’t support her,” he said. (ANI)

Donald Trump defends Miss California’s gay marriage comments

Washington, Apr 24 (ANI): Donald Trump, owner of the Miss Universe franchise, has finally broken his silence over the controversy surrounding Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean’s gay marriage comments.

Prejean made the remarks when judge Perez Hilton, an openly gay gossip blogger, asked whether she believed in gay marriage.

“We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite. And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offence to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised,” Fox News quoted Prejean as responding to the question.

Her comments led to a huge furore, with many arguing that the answer cost Prejean the crown.

But now, Trump-who had been mum during the firestorm following the teleacst of the pageant on April 19- has finally said that he has received thousands of calls and letters, the majority of which support Miss California’s comments on gay marriage.

He even said that Kristen Dalton, winner of the crown, deserved to win.

“I am very honored that she won. She really did a fantastic job … She was doing well on every single card and she really did answer also a very, very tough question very well,” said Trump.

He even defended Prejean by disagreeing with Hilton’s assertion that it was the worst answer in the history of the Miss USA pageant.

“Miss California has done a wonderful job, that was her belief … It wasn’t a bad answer, that was simply her belief,’ he said.

Trump added that Prejean’s question was “a bit unlucky,” arguing that no matter how she answered the question “she was going to get killed.”

In an earlier interview, Prejean said that she believes her question cost her the crown. (ANI)

Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean, Michael Phelps an item?

New York, Apr 23 (ANI): Miss California Carrie Prejean is dating Olympic champion, according to reports.

The Miss USA runner-up whose gay marriage flap during the pageant drew searing criticism has reportedly cuddled up to Phelps at baseball games and dined out with the hunky Olympian, her grandmother said, according to a report on RadarOnline.com.

“Carrie and Michael have been out to baseball games and lunch. He always calls her when he is in town and they go out,” The New York Daily News quoted her, as saying.

Phelps, who is frequently seen with a stable of girls, has been laying low since photographs showing the Olympic champion with a bong in hand at a house party surfaced in the media.

Billy Bush, who hosted the pageant, pressed her on the relationship rumors. But Prejean offered a vague response.

“That’s not appropriate to answer right now. He’s a great man…You can call me on a later day and we can talk about that,” she said at the time. (ANI)

Miley Cyrus supports gay marriages

Washington, Apr 22 (ANI): Hollywood actress Miley Cyrus has given her nod to gay marriages, as she believes Jesus loves all and does not discriminate between gay people and straight people.

Cyrus revealed her stance on being quizzed by blogger Perez Hilton, who reached out to top celebrities after attacking Miss California Carrie Prejean for her anti-gay marriage stance at the Miss USA pageant over the weekend.

Hilton, who was judging the beauty contest, asked the Carrie for her thoughts on same sex marriage and was aghast when Prejean revealed she believed marriage should be between a man and a woman.

After which he asked multifarious celebrities including Cyrus about their say on the whole issue.Jesus loves you and your partner and wants you to know how much he cares! thats like a daddy not loving his lil boy cuz hes gay and that is wrong and very sad! like i said everyone deserves to be happy (sic),” Contactmusic quoted Cyrus, as stating on her Twitter page.

On the other hand Shana Moakler, who was Carrie’s mentor before the pageant, revealed she was pretty upset by Carrie’s answer and is not in talking terms with her ever since.

“I don’t know how you can call a gay man or woman your friend and not want them 2 have the same joys as yourself. In my family we believe in equal rights for all. I am sad and hurt,” Moakler stated on her Twitter page.

“It’s one thing to have an opinion – I am very opinionated and have dealt with backlash from it – it’s another to alienate people who cared about u,” Moakler added. (ANI)

televised from Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

The 22-year-old aspiring motivational speaker edged out first runner-up Miss California USA Carrie Prejean and second runner-up Miss Arizona USA Alicia-Monique Blanco.

Contestants from all 50 states and the District of Columbia competed in the pageant, aired live on NBC. Contestants were judged by their performance in swimsuit and evening gown modelling contests and their responses to a question asked onstage; unlike the rival Miss America pageant, Miss USA contestants do not perform a talent.

The top 15 contestants worked the stage in white string bikinis designed by pop star
Jessica Simpson’s swimwear line. Rocker Kevin Rudolf performed his song “Let it Rock,” followed by The Veronicas, who performed their single “Untouched” as the top 10 beauties showed off their choice of glittering evening gowns.

Dalton’s title comes with a year’s use of a New York apartment, a public relations team, a two-year scholarship at the New York Film Academy and an undisclosed salary.

She also will go to the Bahamas in August to compete in the Miss Universe pageant, where American beauties haven’t been lucky in recent years. Both Miss USA 2008 Crystle Stewart and her predecessor, Rachel Smith, fell on stage during the evening gown competition, becoming accidental YouTube stars.

Asked about the tumble during the show on Sunday, Stewart said it was a lesson in bouncing back from defeat.

“I think it was a true test of my character,” said the 27-year-old Texan, who worked to raise awareness for breast cancer as she travelled the globe promoting the beauty contest.

If there is a YouTube moment from Sunday’s show, it may be Miss California’s answer to a question about legalizing same-sex marriage. The tall blonde stumbled some before giving an answer that appeared to please the pageant audience.

“We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage,” Prejean said. “And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offence to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”

Some in the audience cheered, others booed. The pageant had enjoyed a scandal-free year until earlier this month, when Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza was skewered for a blog posting from a trip to Guantanamo Bay. The entry described having “aloooot of fun” at a base that houses the notorious military prison; it was later deleted from the pageant’s Web site.

The contest, which is owned by NBC and reality TV mogul Donald Trump, was hosted by “Access Hollywood” co-anchor Billy Bush and Nadine Velazquez of the NBC sitcom “My Name is Earl.” This year’s judges included “Saturday Night Live” cast member Kenan Thompson, “Dancing with the Stars” winner Kelly Monaco and gossip blogger Perez Hilton.
