107-year-old Malay woman wants 23rd hubby!

Kuala Lumpur, Sept 14 (ANI): A 107-year-old woman is looking for a groom to marry for the 23rd time because she fears her present hubby will leave her after coming out of rehab.

Centenarian Mek Wok Kundor married the 37-year-old Mohd Noor Che Musa in 2005, but ever since he joined rehab in July she fears their marriage will break down after he’s cured of drugs.

The woman, who is called Tok Wook, fondly confessed her insecurity and said she was looking for a new hubby to fill her ‘forlornness and nothing more than that’.

Tok Wook lives in Kampung Bukit TokBat and plans to visit Mohd Noor on the second day of Hari Raya if someone drives her to Kuala Lumpur.

The Star Online quoted her as saying: “I want to express my feelings and tell him that I am lonely without him and if he reciprocates, I will wait for him without thinking of another marriage.”

She added: “I am not searching for a man as handsome as our Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak), but someone to accompany me in my twilight years.

“I realise that I am an aged woman. I don’t have the body nor am I a young woman who can attract anyone.

“My intention to remarry is to fill my forlornness and nothing more than that.” (ANI)

Ronaldo’s fans want their money back

London, June 21 (ANI): An imminent departure of Cristiano Ronaldo has thrown Manchester United’s Asian tour into chaos, as some of the fans in the Far East have even asked for their money back.

Manchaster United is due to play in Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea and China next month in lucrative pre-season friendlies.

But, the 80-million-pound-man Ronaldo, who is planning to leave for Real Madrid, is unlikely to be touring with his current teammates.

“They’re all massive Ronaldo fans. Some of the fans in the Far East have even asked for their money back because one of the main reasons they were planning to come was to see Ronaldo play. He’s widely regarded as the best player in the world and that was a huge crowd-puller. There are a lot of very disappointed people,” the Daily Star quoted a club source, as saying.

Organisers had to fork out thousands of pounds to change the marketing literature for the games after sending out advertising posters and billboards containing pictures of Ronaldo.

Designers have swapped the star’s photo for that of Geordie midfielder Michael Carrick to lure fans.

“The organisers have spent a fortune on advertising. Now they are having to re-jig it all at the last minute, so there have been a few raised eyebrows, not to mention the cost,” the source said.

In Malaysia, where the average salary is 13,500 pounds a year, ticket prices range from 10 to 55 pounds each.

And the venue for United’s game against Malaysia XI, the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, is expected to reach its 100,000 capacity.

“It’s one of the biggest sporting events for years. Hopefully, the loss of Ronaldo will not put too many people off seeing the rest of their heroes play,” said a source at the stadium. (ANI)

Wild elephants kill elderly woman in Sumatra

Jakarta – Two wild elephants went on a rampage in Lampung province on the Indonesian island of Sumatra, trampling an elderly resident to death, state-run media reported Monday.

The elephants entered the Belimbing Bengkurat village early Saturday, trampling 70-year-old Punirah, said Kurnia Rauf, head of the Bukit Barisan National Park.

Rauf was quoted as saying by the state-run Antara news agency that the wild elephants ran amok after they strayed from their herd and into the human settlement.

Elephants are migrating from the national park to other places during the current transitional season, he said.

The two beasts were angered when local residents tried to drive them away and attacked Punirah, Rauf said. The settlement is along the traditional elephant migration path.

Conservationists said widespread destruction of elephant habitat through illegal logging and uncontrolled conversion of forests into oil palm and pulp plantations has created intense conflict between humans and elephants, which are forced to feed on the crops that replaced their natural foods.

Human-animal conflicts are a rising problem as human settlements encroach on natural habitats in Indonesia, an archipelago nation with some of the world’s largest remaining tropical forests.

Habitat destruction, combined with illegal poaching have slashed the population of Sumatra’s wild elephants.

According to environmentalists, about 4,000 wild elephants roam Sumatra, the only island in Indonesia where they can still be found. They are listed as an endangered species and protected by law. (dpa)

13-year-old Malay girl used as sex slave by father, brothers for 5 years

Kuala Lumpur, Apr 24 (ANI): Police have arrested a 13-year-old girl’s father and her two brothers after she claimed that she had been a sex slave to them for the last five years.

The Form One pupil confided in her teachers the trauma she had been subjected to at her home since she was 9 years old, reports New Straits Times Online.

Her teacher then took her to the police station where a report was lodged.

Police nabbed the father, aged 42, and sons, 15 and 17, at their home in Bukit Mertajam.

The girl, in her police report, claimed that her father and brother had been taking advantage of her since she was nine.

She claimed that she was nine-years-old when her father first raped her in a forest near her house.

Following that incident, she was paid between RM1 and RM2 by her father each time he sexually abused her.

The girl did not disclose this to her mother, who is a housewife, as she was afraid.

But decided to reveal all to her teacher, as she was afraid that her younger sisters, aged 7 and 9, would suffer the same fate.

State Criminal Investigation Department chief SAC II Wan Abdullah Tuanku Said said the girl was raped in her house and in a secondary forest in Berapit.

He confirmed the arrests, adding that the case was classified as rape and molest. (ANI)

Robber forces 2 moneyless women to perform oral sex instead

Kuala Lumpur, April 18 (ANI): A robber in Malaysia made two women perform oral sex on him after finding that they did not have any money.

The two cleaners, aged 68 and 43, were waiting for their factory van at a bus stop in Jalan Kem in Port Klang at 6.30am when a car stopped in front of them.

When the robber demanded for money, the women said that they did not have any.

He then asked the women to get into the car, apparently saying that he would sent them home.

The robber then drove the duo to an oil palm plantation in Bukit Raja, and ordered them to perform oral sex on him.

The 43-year-old woman was even forced to kiss the man’s backside.

The women, who were then abandoned in the plantation, sought help from a foreign worker who brought them out of the plantation.

It was a passer-by who took them to a police station, reports The Star Online.

Klang district police chief Asst Comm Mohamad Mat Yusop revealed that the two women had been sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital for medical examinations.

He even revealed that cops were searching for a well-built man in his 30s, who wore earrings on both his ears. (ANI)

Malaysians cast their votes in triple by-election

Kuala Lumpur – Voters in three constituencies in Malaysia went to the polls Tuesday in a by-election indicative of the level of support for newly appointed Prime Minister Najib Razak.

The special parliamentary elections are being held simultaneously for the Bukit Gantang seat in the northern state of Perak, in Bukit Selambau in neighbouring Kedah state and in the Batang Ai constituency in the eastern state of Sarawak on Borneo island.

Results were due to be announced later Tuesday.

The by-elections, which were called after one lawmaker resigned and two died, are a crucial popularity test for Najib, who was appointed Friday.

Najib is taking over at a time when the ruling National Front coalition is facing its lowest-ever public support, evident in the losses the Front sustained during general elections in March 2008.

The Front failed to retain a two-thirds majority in Parliament for the first time in almost 40 years and lost an unprecedented five of the country’s 13 states to the three-party opposition People’s Alliance, led by former deputy premier Anwar Ibrahim.

While the triple by-election will not cause any shift in power because the ruling coalition currently holds a majority 139 seats against the opposition’s 82, its results would be an indication of sentiment toward Najib’s leadership.

“I only hope the people will adopt an open and positive attitude in evaluating my leadership,” Najib told a local television channel days before the polling. “Hopefully, the people will accept my leadership.

“We will field an Indian candidate,” he added.

The Bukit Selambau seat was vacated after V. Arumugam resigned as Kedah executive council member.

However, Parti Islam se-Malaysia (PAS) left to decide on its candidate for the Bukit Gantang parliamentary contest in Perak.

The Bukit Gantang parliamentary seat fell vacant following death of Roslan Shaharum, The Star reported. (ANI)
