London, April 29 (ANI): Bobby Brown has rubbished reports of his death.
Brown is the latest celeb to have been proclaimed dead over the internet gossip columns, reports The Daily Express.
Fake stories of Brown”s death began circulating on microblogging site Twitter.com this week so much so that the New Edition singer’s rep has now had to rubbish the reports.
Johnny Depp, Zach Braff and Bill Cosby are other celebs whose death reports have been circulated online by pranksters. (ANI)
London, March 19 (ANI): Whitney Houston has tagged reports claiming she will return to rehab as “ridiculous”.
U.S. tabloid the National Enquirer had alleged that the singer had collapsed backstage and had been recommended to return to a rehabilitation centre.
However, the R and B star’s attorney Marty Singer has refuted the report.
“Whitney is not headed to rehab. She is headed to Paris, where she will be continuing her world tour,” the Daily Express quoted Singer as telling UsMagazine.com.
He added: “Ridiculous. It did not happen.”
Houston has faced difficulty performing in her ‘Nothing But Love’ tour due to breathing problems caused by smoking.
She had admitted in an interview with Oprah Winfrey last year that she took drugs with former husband Bobby Brown. (ANI)
Washington, Sep 16 (ANI): Whitney Houston has confessed that she was shocked to hear the news of Michael Jackson’s death, and even went on to relate her own struggle with drugs to the King of Pop’s addiction to painkillers.
In a candid interview to talk show queen Oprah Winfrey on Tuesday, the ‘I Will Always Love You’ hit-maker revealed sordid details of her drug past, and the breakdown of her marriage to Bobby Brown.
Houston admitted that she was stunned to hear of Jackson’s passing, and claimed that the ‘Thriller’ legend’s drug problems mirrored her own.
“(Jackson’s death was) devastating. I have so many good memories of spending time with him. I’ve known his family for so many years that I thought, ‘It can’t be true,’” Contactmusic quoted her as telling Winfrey.
“I just remember doing the (Jackson 30th) anniversary special and I remember looking at Michael and I remember looking at myself and I was getting scared looking at him. I was looking at myself. I don’t want it to be like this. Mike and I were very close,” she added. (ANI)

Bobby Brown will reunite with New Edition to perform a Jackson 5 medley at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on June 28, 2009, in the opening the BET Awards, and extended tribute to Michael Jackson.
Other performers scheduled to honor Jackson with performances of his songs include Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, Ne-Yo and Maxwell, according to Ron Weisner, the show’s producer and a former Jackson representative.
The show, which airs on BET at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, has been extended to three and a half hours.
Washington, June 29 (ANI): A star-studded audience at the BET Awards on Sunday were left stunned, when Janet Jackson paid a tearful tribute to her late brother Michael.
After a ceremony dedicated to the King of Pop, who suddenly passed away on Thursday, the crowd fell silent as Janet went on to the stage and fought back tears as she paid a tribute to Jacko.
“My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too painful, so they elected me to be here to speak with you,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
“To you Michael was an icon. To us, Michael is family and he will forever live in all of our hearts. On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all of your love, and for all your support. We miss him so much,” she added.
Jackson’s father Joseph was also present at the event, and he briefly spoke with reporters on the red carpet.
“I wish the world had recognised him when he was living. Right now, he’s bigger than ever. But I wish he was here to see all this, to hear all this,” he said.
The event was a wholesome tribute to Jackson, and it kicked off with full a reunion of New Edition, including Bobby Brown, to perform a medley of Jackson Five songs.
Ne-Yo and Ciara also paid homage to the pop superstar during the night by performing his songs.
The ceremony was hosted by Jamie Foxx, who honoured Jackson throughout the night by appearing in a number of Jacko-inspired outfits.
Foxx even Moonwalked the length of the stage, enthralling the celeb-packed crowd at Hollywood’s Shrine Auditorium.
He closed the event with an emotional duet of Jackson track ‘I’ll Be There’, with R and B star Ne-Yo. (ANI)
New Delhi, Apr 19 (ANI): Singer Whitney Houston reportedly has a new man in her life.
The 45-year-old pop star was spotted with a mystery man outside the Beverly Hills Hotel after allegedly spending the night there, reports the China Daily.
“There looked very, very happy together. After spending the evening at the hotel they got up and walked Whitney’s beloved Yorkshire Terrier dogs. They seemed like any other happy couple,” a source told National Enquirer.
Houston, who separated from ex-husband Bobby Brown in 2007, is said to be smitten by the new man. He has reportedly been a regular visitor to the home in Atlanta, Georgia, she is currently renting.
“Whitney has finally gotten Bobby out of her system and she is clean of drugs. She’s in a much healthier place than she was a couple of years ago, hopefully this could be the start of something great for Whitney,” the source added. (ANI)
London, April 5 (ANI): Whitney Houston secretly paid 400,000 dollars to drug gangsters to save her kidnapped ex-husband’s life, claims a new book.
According to writer David Collins, her former husband Bobby Brown was ‘knocked out with one punch’ and taken hostage at gunpoint by New York street gang called the Preacher Crew in April 1993.
“When he awoke, Bobby was naked and hog-tied, his mouth stuffed with a rag,” the Daily Express quoted Collins as saying in his autobiography, Preacher of the Streets.
Ex-gang member Collins alleged that the thugs threatened to kill Brown unless the ransom was handed to them personally by the singer.
He continued: “The Preacher left the room and his men then terrorised Bobby for two hours. They kicked him. They told him they would kill Whitney.
“One of them put a gun to his head. Bobby was weeping when the Preacher came back in the room, begging the Preacher to let him call Whitney.”
Frightened Houston, who did not report the matter to the authorities, later disguised herself in a wig and dark glasses and paid the money in a duffle bag to 6ft 7in gang chief Clarence “Preacher” Heatley, it was claimed.
He added: “They came to an agreement. She was personally going to bring 400,000 dollars to get her man back. The next day, she did just that. She was wearing a wig. She paid the money. Bobby was free to go.”
The couple put an end to their 15-year-marriage in April 2007. (ANI)
Washington, February 27 (ANI): Superstar singer Whitney Houston has warned Rihanna against reconciling with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown after an alleged bust-up with him.
Cops are probing whether Brown made criminal threats after allegedly attacking the ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker, following a pre-Grammys party on February 8.
Rihanna’s father has already confirmed that her relationship with Brown is “over”.
Houston has now advised the 21-year-old star to end the troubled romance for good.
“Don’t make the same mistakes I did. Whenever you let your heart rule your head, you are bound to run into trouble,” Contactmusic quoted Houston, who ended her turbulent marriage to Bobby Brown in 2007, as saying in a statement to Hollyscoop.com.

Washington, Jan 10 (ANI): Madonna once secretly dated Bobby Brown, a new book claims.
In Derrick Handspike’s book ‘Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But…’, it has been claimed that no one was immune to former New Edition star’s charms, not even the Material Girl, reports Contactmusic.
A publishing source told the National Enquirer, “It (romance) began when one of Bobby’s bodyguards caught the Material Girl with Bobby in the back of his limo.
“The couple met years before when Madonna was on her way up and served as the opening act for some New Edition shows.
“The book discloses, after both had become well known, Madonna was interested in having a relationship with Bobby.”
It has been alleged that Brown ditched Madonna when he fell for Janet Jackson, and turned to drink when his relationship with the ‘Control’ hitmaker soured. (ANI)
