Miley Cyrus delays flight for four hours to get her hair done!

London, Mar 26 (ANI): Pop singer Miley Cyrus is said to have reportedly kept the crew on her private jet waiting for four hours after she decided to get her hair done at a salon in New York before flying to Los Angeles.

Cyrus, 17, was in the Big Apple to promote her new movie ‘The Last Song’ and was due in L.A. on March 23 to film an appearance on TV talent show American Idol, reports the Daily Star.

According to People.com, she decided to get a last minute touch up before boarding the plane and dropped into Manhattan’s Gemini 14 Salon to get some highlights and hair extensions with her stylist Kristina Vidov.

The singer/actress helped mentor the final 11 contestants on American Idol before taking to the stage on March 24 to perform her new song ‘When I Look At You’. (ANI)

Uma Thurman wants to leave Big Apple for Hollywood

London, Sept 18 (ANI): Uma Thurman is weighing up her options to move to Hollywood from her place in New York as she thinks staying away from the tinsel town is restricting her career growth.he 39-year-old mother of two has only done flicks shot in New York after her daughter Maya was born in 1998 so that she could be close to her kids.

However, the Kill Bill star is now seriously contemplating a shift as her children are older now.

The Daily Express quoted her as telling W magazine, “I am a mother, but I need to do what I’m good at doing. Even your kids need you to be who you are.

“I’ve been living at home for a long time. If I don’t leave soon, I’m going to literally choke my career to death.” (ANI)

Melbourne, Sept 18 (ANI): Rihanna has flaunted her pierced nipple whilst out and about in the Big Apple.

Hitting the streets yesterday in denim shorts, hooded cardigan and a see through black top- showing off a silver nipple ring, the singer seemed embracing the Janet Jackson Super Bowl look, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Meanwhile, her ex-beau Chris Brown has started community service for assaulting her.

He was snapped picking up rubbish.

Brown has to complete 180 days community service for the attack and will also be on probation for the next five years. (ANI)

Jennifer Connelly convinced her Big Apple pad was haunted

London, Sept 7 (ANI): Hollywood actress Jennifer Connelly was forced to move out of her Brooklyn home with hubby Paul Bettany, after she was convinced that it is haunted.

‘A Beautiful Mind’ star grew up not far from the same New York home, and planned to raise her kids six-year-old son Stellan and 12-year-old son Kai.

But when the kids echoed Connelly’s spooky fears, she was convinced that the house was haunted and moved with Bettany to Manhattan.

“It was a little big… like a haunted mansion, a creepy house. It had that kind of feel to it and it was just wrong for us in a lot of ways,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

“It felt like we were going to get child services calling us because we had this nice house and the kids were sleeping on the floor in sleeping bags because they were afraid to go sleep in their rooms, so we moved.

“We’re liking (Manhattan). It’s easy. it’s comfortable, everyone sleeps,” she added. (ANI)

Prince Harry to pay for New York trip ‘out of his own pocket’

London, May 14 (ANI): Prince Harry will reportedly spare taxpayers thousands by paying for his trip to New York out of his own pocket.

The royal will raise money for his Aids charity Sentebale and is allegedly set to host a VIP dinner later this month, reports the Sun.

The 24-year-old will jet to the Big Apple along with a four-strong entourage in business class and the Queen will pick up the tab for his first foreign tour, as per reports.

Harry’s low-maintenance visit was said to be in a stark contrast to the pricey Stateside trips undertaken by his father Charles and uncle Andrew.

Charles and Camilla left a 330,000-pound bill after taking a private jet to New York four years ago, while Andrew raked up a 118,440 tab when he hired a plane to fly across the States last year. (ANI)

Lindsay doesn’t own Big Apple pad

New York, Mar 6 (ANI): An apartment in New York, allegedly owned by Lindsay Lohan, is up for grabs for 1.2 million dollars – but the only catch is that the money won’t go to the actress’ pocket.

According to reports by MSNBC.com, the LA Times online and other media outlets, the ‘Mean Girls’ star had put the property on sale.

But now, sources have revealed that the 22-year-old never owned the condo in the Atelier on West 42nd Street.

“The Atelier gave her the use of the apartment in exchange for hosting a few events a year. She never bought it,” The New York Post quoted a source close to Lohan as saying.

Another source said: “She spent maybe a night or two there, but she has always lived in Los Angeles. She stays in hotels when she comes to Manhattan.” A rep for Lohan confirmed,

“It’s not true that she is selling it – she doesn’t own it.”

And now, River 2 Realty is marketing the apartment, which was apparently sold to an investor at some point.

A rep for the Atelier said: “The apartment is currently in contract and is being marketed by a third party without Atelier’s knowledge.” (ANI)
