Sex is Cameron Diaz’s favourite sport!

Cameron Diaz has revealed that sex is her favourite sport and also said that she was always in the mood for sex.

“Sex is the sexiest word in the English language. Just the word is sexy to me. There”s something to it, don”t you think? Sex is my favourite sport,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling the News of the World newspaper.

“What”s the quickest way to get me in the mood? I”m always in the mood,” she added.

The 38-year-old star, who recently split with baseball star Alex Rodriguez, also admitted she is in no rush to get married, and would rather make her ‘own rules’.

“I don”t think we should live our lives in relationships based off old traditions that don”t suit our world any longer. I think a lot of people are married to people that they”re not romantic with anymore,” she said.

“We have to make our own rules. I just didn”t ever marry anybody that I then had to get divorced from. We break up. We move on,” she added.

Lee dominant for Rangers, auction to go ahead

(Reuters) – Texas Ranger pitcher Cliff Lee helped his side to extend their American League West lead to six games with a 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday, hours after a judge ruled an auction of the bankrupt club could go ahead on August 4.

A federal judge ruled the auction could proceed, having first been convinced by Rangers’ manager Ron Washington that his players were not affected by the drawn-out proceedings.

The Rangers proved that on the field, winning their sixth game in eight starts and remaining in the hunt for their first playoff berth since 1999.

Texas snapped a 1-1 tie in the sixth on a run-scoring double by Josh Hamilton and a sacrifice fly by Bengie Molina.

Left-hander Lee, who joined the team as part of a six-player trade with the Seattle Mariners on July 9, limited the Angels to two runs on five hits while striking out four and issuing no walks.

The sole blemish on the performance of the two-time All-Star was Mike Napoli’s solo homer to lead off the seventh that trimmed the Rangers’ lead to 3-2.

Lee lasted 8.1 innings to get his first win for the Rangers. His previous two starts were a loss and a no-decision.

“Any time you go out and give the team a chance to win, it feels good,” Lee told reporters after the game. “Got the first one out of the way.”

Rangers’ third baseman Michael Young hit a solo home run in the first inning.

The Rangers filed for bankruptcy in May after owners Hicks Sports Group defaulted on a $525 million loan.

Among their creditors is New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, traded from the Rangers in 2004, but still owed $24.9 million in deferred payments.

Tom Hicks, who owns Hicks Sports Group, also co-owns English Premier League soccer team Liverpool.

Washington described his players’ morale to U.S. Bankruptcy Judge D. Michael Lynn as “unbelievably good.”

“Everybody is behind them,” Lynn told Washington to tell his players. “We want this team to succeed.”

Yankees’ Rodriguez hits 599th career home run

(Reuters) – New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez belted his 599th career home run on Thursday, exuding a sense of calm and enjoyment that he lacked three years ago when trying to reach the 500 milestone.

That was a different A-Rod, a player who was affected by the constant distractions that went with being the highest paid player, in the New York glare, and playing in the shadow of local hero and team captain Derek Jeter.

It was also before his admission of past steroid use and his first World Series championship, which came last year — developments that Rodriguez said have liberated him, allowing him to enjoy the game more.

He said there was no question his life has changed since 2007, when he was stuck on home run number 499 for nine days.

“Night and day. So much has changed,” Rodriguez told reporters after the 10-4 victory over the Kansas City Royals in which he drove an 0-2 pitch from reliever Robinson Tejeda just over the right field wall in the seventh inning.

“I’m enjoying the game more now than I ever have. … I’m in a much better place now. That stuff (the steroid admission and World Series title) liberated me,” Rodriguez said.

After hitting 599, he had one more chance to hit number 600 in the eighth inning but lined an RBI double to right-center off Blake Wood. From the batter’s box he noticed fans around Yankee Stadium wanting to capture the moment.

“I’m enjoying it. … The fans really got into it. I saw the light bulbs going off,” Rodriguez said.

His pursuit of the milestone is the latest session in the public psychoanalysis of one of the sport’s most gifted and complicated players, one who opposing fans love to boo, whether for his contract, his gossip-page social life, or steroid history.

A-Rod is trying to become the seventh major leaguer to hit 600 home runs and the youngest ever to reach the milestone at 34. He turns 35 on July 27. Babe Ruth was the previous youngest, hitting his 600th at 36 years and 196 days.

Rodriguez, the highest paid player in baseball at $33 million this year, is on pace to catch career home run leader Barry Bonds, who hit 762 from 1986 to 2007 and hit his 600th at age 38.

A-Rod’s home run on Thursday was his 16th of the season.

Rodriguez averaged more than 40 homers a season over his first 14 full years in the big leagues and would reach Bonds in four more seasons at that rate. Even without another home run this year he could match Bonds by averaging about 23 homers a season over the final seven years of his contract.

His 10-year contract — worth at least $275 million but with a series of bonuses paying another $30 million if he passes Bonds — expires after the 2017 season, when he would be 42.

Yankees rock Halladay to beat Phillies

(Reuters) – The New York Yankees smashed three home runs and drove ace pitcher Roy Halladay out of the game to beat the Philadelphia Phillies 8-3 on Tuesday in a rematch of last year’s World Series.

Sports

The Yankees, who beat the Phillies 4-2 to win the best-of-seven World Series, scored six times off Halladay and forced the Phillies to replace him after six innings in the interleague game at Yankees Stadium.

Halladay (8-5) allowed two runs in the second inning then surrendered home runs to Curtis Granderson and Nick Swisher in the third where New York took a 5-0 advantage.

“I made mistakes early on that put us in an early hole,” Halladay said. “I missed with location early on. That was the toughest part for me — I knew I was missing.

“I didn’t get away with anything.”

The Phillies (32-30) rallied with three runs in the fourth but Mark Teixeira homered in the fifth and Francisco Cervelli hit a two-run single in the seventh to help the Yankees (41-23) to the comfortable victory.

New York starter CC Sabathia struck out seven and allowed three runs to improve to 7-3 this season.

The Yankees, who were without slugger Alex Rodriguez (groin) for the fourth successive game, remained tied with the Tampa Bay Rays at the top of the American League East Division with the victory.

“We’ve got a good offense,” Sabathia said. “(Halladay) has pitched well against us a lot in the past, but guys have been swinging the bat well.

“(Rodriguez) is out, but Swisher has picked up the slack. Curtis hit a big home run. We’ve got a pretty good team.”

New York, May 18 (ANI): Cameron Diaz has admitted that she’s a ”romantic” who isn”t afraid of eloping.

“I am a romantic. I love romance. I”m not afraid of commitment. I commit to everything I”m doing and I am hopelessly loyal,” the actress tells Parade.com.

Though the stunner, 37, who’s reportedly dating Alex Rodriguez, is yet to tie the knot, she has already considered how she is going to walk down the aisle, reports The New York Daily News.

“The mystique and the romance of a big wedding are lost on me. I don”t think that I could ever do something that extravagant,” she admits. “I am not much of a planner. I would probably make the phone call 20 minutes before the bus leaves for the chapel and ask if anyone is available to come. That”s probably how my wedding is going to end up.” (ANI)

Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz ”engaged in fierce catfight over A-Rod”

New York, May 14 (ANI): Hollywood beauties Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz are engaged in an embittered battle to win over Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez, it has emerged.

Diaz is said to be sleeping with Rodriguez to pay back Hudson who started romancing Justin Timberlake in January 2007, just days after Diaz split with him.

“Kate thinks it”s payback, pure and simple,” the New York Post quoted a source as telling Us Weekly.

According to one of Diaz”s pals, “Cameron was actually in a serious long-term relationship with Justin. She thinks it”s a joke Kate would be mad. Kate is only upset because she hates being single.”

Diaz was seen leaving Rodriguez”s Central Park West penthouse with bags on May 2, fuelling rumours that she was dating him.

Hudson dated A-Rod last year and attended every home playoff game as the Yankees won the World Series.

According to an insider, Hudson was so desperate for A-Rod that she even got breast implants to hold on to him, but it didn”t work. (ANI)

A-Rod wants Cameron Diaz to stay away from Yankee games

New York, May 12 (ANI): Professional baseball player Alex Rodriguez has opted not to have actress Cameron Diaz around at his games this summer.

According to BettyConfidential.com, A-Rod, 34, does not want Diaz, 37, to be a permanent fixture in the stands during his games, much like what ex Kate Hudson did during their relationship.

“He doesn’t want what happened to him and Kate to happen between him and Cameron,” the New York Daily News quoted a source as saying.

“Kate was at every New York game and then some and even went to Alex’s game practice. Things got too clingy too fast,” the source revealed.

Rodriguez, who ended a 13-year relationship with his ex-wife in 2008, is said to have been put off by Hudson trying to fast track their six-month relationship, which ended in December.

He reportedly began dating Diaz after a flirty night out in February during Super Bowl weekend in Miami, and both have since then kept a low profile about their relationship. (ANI)

Kate met Darren during the 2009 flick “Bride Wars.”

“They hit it off on the set, but nothing romantic happened until after she and Alex broke up during the winter,” a source close to them revealed.

Darren recently signed the actress for a steamy photo shoot, the pictures of which are displayed on his website, reports The New York Daily News.

Then, according to inside sources, came an L.A. hedge-fund manager who was followed by golfer Adam Scott. Kate and Adam were spotted enjoying a cozy vacation in Hawaii in January last year.

“She was casually seeing both Alex and Adam at the same time, but she broke things off with Adam when she got serious with A-Rod,” a source said.

Rangers 3B Michael Young still looking to improve

SURPRISE, Ariz. — With last year’s position change behind him, Texas Rangers third baseman Michael Young is getting back to the normal routine of preparing for the season.

Young says he wants to improve in certain areas, but he’s keeping those details to himself.

On the surface, little improvement seems necessary, given Young’s success after shifting from shortstop to third base last season to make room for rookie Elvis Andrus.

Offensively, the 30-year-old was as solid as ever _ a .322 batting average, .892 OPS and 22 home runs in 135 games. Defensively, he made only nine errors in 134 games at third base, tied with Alex Rodriguez for the lowest total among qualifying players.

Young was rewarded with his sixth straight All-Star selection.

‘When A-Rod showed up at sex club with Yankee hat screaming, Look at me!’

New York, May 4 (ANI): Alex Rodriguez reportedly made a fool of himself when he turned up at a Dallas sex club wearing a Yankee hat that read, “Look at me!” five years ago.

The ace baseball player apparently appeared like a rank amateur with the attention drawing accessory at the Iniquity swingers club.

“The guy’s not the biggest genius in the world. I guess the cat’s out of the bag on that,” the New York Post quoted Rick Reid, the owner of the club, as saying.

“We ask our members to dress down, don’t call attention to yourself, and he showed up with a bright, white Yankees ball cap on,” Rick added.

The incident, mentioned in the new book “A-Rod” by Selena Roberts, is claimed to be not the only one that has landed the power hitting baseman in trouble.
Roberts wrote: “On road trips, he hit provocative clubs other players shunned, feeling they were at risk of image damage — or the wrath of their teams — if they were seen in them.

“He was indiscreet . . . bragging to teammates and friends about his wild nights with strippers.” (ANI)
