adopting multiple solutions within the Online Marketing Suite that help them
unlock the power of their data to drive conversion and optimize ad spend.”

With the latest release of Adobe®SearchCenter +, Adobe has made it easier for

performance of the ad (as determined by conversion metrics), to maximize return
on ad spend.

Image ad support for Google Display Network

* Adobe SearchCenter + simplifies the management and creation of Google Image
ads.
* Import and storage of commonly used images allows advertisers to easily create

Adobe analytics solutions within the Adobe Online Marketing Suite, namely Adobe
SiteCatalyst and Adobe Discover, are offering the following product updates:

The Marketing Channels Report

* Marketers can now see all their marketing channels (paid search, natural
search, social media, video, etc.) compared to one another and easily tell what
impact they are having on the business, helping marketers to know what marketing
channels optimally influence their customer base.
* With this information, decision makers can better allocate budget to those
marketing channels that bring the greatest return.

Adobe ReportBuilder

* A significantly improved integration with Excel and Adobe SiteCatalyst can
allow marketers to more quickly and easily build SiteCatalyst reports in Excel,
helping marketers receive the insightful information they are looking for much
faster.

Adobe Announces Availability of Flash Player 10.1 for Mobile

HBO, Sony Pictures, Turner, USA Network, Viacom, Warner Brothers and Others
Ready Flash Content for Mobile
SAN JOSE, Calif.–(Business Wire)–
Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced the release of Adobe
Flash Player 10.1 to mobile platform partners. Redesigned from the ground up
with new performance and mobile specific features, Flash Player 10.1 is the
first release that brings the full Web across desktops and devices. Mobile users
will now be able to experience millions of sites with rich applications and
content inside the browser including games, animations, rich Internet
applications (RIAs), data presentations and visualizations, ecommerce, music,
video, audio and more.

Already one of the top free apps on Android Market today, Flash Player 10.1 will
be available as a final production release for smart phones and tablets once
users are able to upgrade to Android 2.2 “Froyo.” Devices supporting “Froyo” and
Flash Player 10.1 are expected to include the Dell Streak, Google Nexus One, HTC
Evo, HTC Desire, HTC Incredible, DROID by Motorola, Motorola Milestone, Samsung
Galaxy S and others. Flash Player 10.1 was also released to mobile platform
partners to be supported on devices based on Android, BlackBerry, webOS, future
versions of Windows Phone, LiMo, MeeGo and Symbian OS, and is expected to be
made available via over-the-air downloads and to be pre-installed on smart
phones, tablets and other devices in the coming months.

“We are thrilled that more than three million Flash designers and developers are
now able to unleash their creativity on the world of smart phones, tablets,
netbooks, televisions and other consumer electronics,” said David Wadhwani,
general manager and vice president, Platform Business at Adobe. “The combined
power of the leading rich media technology platform with millions of passionate
creatives is sure to impact the world in ways we haven`t even imagined yet.”

Broad Partner Support

Device and technology partners including ARM, Brightcove, Dell, Google, HTC,
Intel, Microsoft, Motorola, NVIDIA, Qualcomm, RIM, Samsung, Texas Instruments
and others announced more specifics around their support for Flash Player 10.1
today.

Content publishers including AgencyNet, AKQA, Armor Games, Atlantic Records,
Blitz, CNET.com, HBO, JustinTV, Kongregate, Mattel, Mochi Media, Msnbc Digital
Network, Turner, Nickelodeon, Odopod, Photobucket, RAIN, Roundarch, Sony
Pictures, South Park Studios, USA Network, Viacom, Warner Brothers and many
others have also started to optimize Flash content to deliver the best possible
experience within the context of smaller screens, which includes larger buttons
for interactions, layout adjustments for mobile screens and more.

With Sleep Mode, Flash Player automatically slows down when the device
transitions into screen saver mode. Advanced Out-of-Memory Management allows the
player to effectively handle non-optimized content that consumes excessive
resources, while automatic memory reduction decreases content usage of RAM by up
to 50 percent. Flash Player pauses automatically when events occur such as
incoming phone calls or switching from the browser to other device functions.
Once users switch back to the browser, Flash Player resumes where it paused.

Industry Analyst Feedback

bring their Flash Platform skills to a much bigger swath of devices.”

“For the past few weeks I have had the opportunity to test an Android Froyo
device loaded with a beta of Flash Player 10.1,” said Ben Bajarin, principal
analyst at Creative Strategies. “The overall experience and performance of Flash
has been impressive. Mobile users now have access to full Web pages with rich
Flash content on millions of sites. With the new mobile specific features,

Adobe Launches Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop CS5 Extended

Milestone Release Celebrates 20 Years of Unrivaled Image Editing and Innovation
SAN JOSE, Calif.–(Business Wire)–
Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced Adobe Photoshop CS5 and
Photoshop CS5 Extended software, must-have releases of the professional industry
standard for digital imaging. With millions of users celebrating the product`s
20th anniversary this year, Photoshop CS5 builds upon a rich history of
innovation and leadership with groundbreaking features and performance gains
that boost creativity and workflow efficiency. Packing in more technological
advancements from Adobe Labs than any other release and incorporating
enhancements to everyday tasks requested by the Photoshop community, the
software has greater intelligence and awareness of the content within images,
allowing for complex and magical manipulation in just a few clicks. Adobe
Photoshop CS5 Extended delivers everything in Photoshop CS5, as well as advanced
tools for 3-D which address the unique needs of the video, Web, medical,
manufacturing and engineering industries.

Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop CS5 Extended will be available as stand-alone
applications or key components of the Adobe Creative Suite 5 family (see
separate releases).

“The past two decades have demonstrated an amazing interplay between customers
who want to push the limits of their personal creativity and a passionate team
of Adobe engineers who make those visions a reality,” said Kevin Connor, vice
president of product management for professional digital imaging at Adobe. “We
experienced this firsthand when we posted a `sneak peek` video of the team`s
work on the Content Aware Fill feature a few weeks ago. It quickly became the
number one viral video online, with close to 2 million views and its `magic` was
one of the top trending Twitter topics of discussion. This version of Photoshop
has some of the most innovative and extraordinary technologies to ever come from
our labs and clearly customers are already clamoring for it.”

Redefining the Image-Editing Experience

Now a native 64-bit application on both Mac and Windows, Photoshop CS5 delivers
superior tools and creative control so users can perform advanced image
manipulations and compositing with ease. Revolutionary image intelligence behind
Content-Aware Fill magically removes any image detail or object, examines the
surroundings and seamlessly fills in the space left behind. Lighting, tone and
noise of the surrounding area match perfectly, looking as if the removed content
never existed. New Refine Edge makes nearly-impossible image selections
possible. This innovative technology precisely detects and masks the trickiest
types of edges, such as hair and foliage, while eliminating background color
contamination.

For photographers, Photoshop CS5 now offers next-generation high dynamic range
(HDR) capabilities. When combining multiple exposures into a single HDR image,
Photoshop CS5 preserves the full tonal range of a scene with unprecedented speed
and accuracy. The new HDR Pro offers exceptional ghost artifact removal and
greater tone mapping and adjustment control. With HDR toning, users can emulate
the striking look of an HDR image with any single-exposure image.

Photoshop CS5 provides revolutionary tools that maximize users` creative impact.
Breakthrough painting capabilities include a Mixer Brush that blends an infinite
combination of colors onto a single paintbrush tip, and Bristle Tips that offer
lifelike brush strokes. Puppet Warp gives users the power to precisely
reposition or warp any image element, such as straightening a bent arm in a
photo or manipulating the landscape to generate a new perspective.

“Since its inception, Adobe Photoshop has been a key tool for pre-and
post-production work in the motion picture industry,” said Jon Landau, Academy
Award winning producer of Avatar and Titanic. “With Photoshop CS5 Extended,
Adobe gives filmmakers new painting, HDR and 3-D tools that will help them push
the limits of creativity. Faster performance with cross-platform 64-bit support
and tight integration with other Adobe Creative Suite 5 software makes Photoshop
CS5 an even more powerful tool in a filmmaker`s arsenal. Photoshop empowers
filmmakers and creative professionals in virtually every other industry to turn
their imagined ideas into onscreen reality.”

Community Involvement Drives Enhancements

In addition, more than 30 features and enhancements requested directly by the
Photoshop community have been added to this release, including automatic image
straightening, rule-of-thirds crop tool, color picker and the ability to save
16-bit images as JPEGs. The goal of this engineering effort was to address
seemingly minor enhancements that directly impact everyday workflow, but aren`t
always at the top of the development list for a new release. A new customizable
Adobe Mini Bridge panel is also available directly in the software for faster
file browsing and management.

Taking 3D and Motion to the Next Level

Photoshop CS5 Extended includes everything in Photoshop CS5 plus tools for
editing 3D and motion-based content. With new Adobe Repoussé technology, users
can easily create 3D logos and artwork from any text layer, shape or mask, as
well as twist, rotate and extrude designs for different looks. To mirror the
realism and appearance of 3D objects, a new materials library offers a breadth
of rich options, including chrome, glass and cork. Users can also enhance the
appearance of 3D objects by quickly creating shadows with the new shadow
catcher. For motion content, tools including paint, text and clone can be used
directly over multiple frames of a video sequence with ease using single-key
shortcuts.

Adobe Photoshop Family

Building upon the 20-year history of Photoshop innovation and leadership, Adobe
offers a line of Photoshop solutions for every level of user. Photoshop CS5 and
Photoshop CS5 Extended software are at the heart of the Photoshop family,
providing unrivaled power and editing freedom. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
addresses the workflow needs of serious, amateur and professional photographers,
helping them find, manage, enhance and showcase images in powerful ways. Adobe
Photoshop Elements software provides accessible tools and sharing options for
photo enthusiasts. Snap-shooters can quickly and easily share and edit photos
with simple gestures using the free Photoshop.com Mobile application on their
iPhone or Android devices. Photoshop.com completes the Photoshop line providing
an online photo sharing, editing and hosting resource for all.

Pricing and Availability

Adobe Photoshop CS5 and CS5 Extended are scheduled to ship within 30 days with
availability through Adobe Authorized Resellers, the Adobe Store and Adobe
Direct Sales. Estimated street price for Adobe Photoshop CS5 is US$699 and
US$999 for Photoshop CS5 Extended. Upgrade pricing and volume licensing are

Adobe Delivers Creative Suite 5 Design Premium

Radical Advancements in Interactive Publishing and Digital Content Creation
Anchor Major Release of Best Selling Creative Suite
SAN JOSE, Calif.–(Business Wire)–
Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced Adobe Creative Suite 5
Design Premium, the ultimate toolkit for expressing and publishing ideas in
print, on the Web, as interactive content and on mobile devices. Adobe Creative
Suite 5 Design Premium includes all new versions of Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended
(see separate release), Adobe Illustrator CS5, Adobe InDesign CS5 (see separate
release), Adobe Flash Professional CS5, Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 and Adobe
Fireworks CS5, as well as Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, integration with new Adobe CS
Live services (CS Live Services are complimentary for a limited time)* and Adobe
Flash Catalyst CS5 (see separate release) for interaction design without writing
code. A new version of Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Standard will also be
available.

“Producing a Creative Suite capable of designing fantastic visuals is expected
of Adobe but, in our view, that`s no longer sufficient,” said John Loiacono,
senior vice president and general manager for Creative Solutions at Adobe. “With
content going mobile and a publishing market poised for a new generation of
devices, publishers and designers are relying on Adobe to also now deliver the
functionality and precision to develop amazing work for display across virtually
any medium. That’s why Creative Suite 5 is such a compelling release.”

Create Interactive and Digital Content Without Writing Code

Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium gives designers the power to create a
range of interactive and digital content without writing code. The all-new Adobe
Flash Catalyst CS5 enables those familiar with Photoshop and Illustrator to
quickly transform their artwork into interactive user experiences. This comes in
advance of the much anticipated release of Flash Player 10.1, which is optimized
for high performance on mobile screens and designed to take advantage of native
device capabilities for a richer, more immersive user experience. Digital
documents, publications and presentations can be enhanced with new features in
Adobe InDesign CS5 that allow users to design with interactivity, motion, sound
and video to connect people to content in compelling new ways.

“The smooth integration between Adobe Illustrator CS5 and Flash Catalyst CS5
makes it easier for us to transform our Illustrator artwork into interactive
designs,” said Tyler Moore, principal at Markatos|Moore, a graphic design and
strategic marketing firm specializing in brand identity, print, packaging,
motion, interactive and environmental design for clients such as the Discovery
Channel, GAP, Nokia, Coleman and Tahoe Mountain Resort. “It`s a genuine
breakthrough for us. Now, we can produce many interactive design elements on our
own.”

Express Creative Concepts Quickly, Intuitively and Without Compromise

More than 150 new features anchor Creative Suite 5 Design Premium. Advanced
painting and drawing techniques in Illustrator CS5 and Photoshop CS5, combined
with features that offer increased power and precision, allow designers to
quickly, intuitively express creative concepts for print and digital media. New
Refine Edge selection technology in Photoshop CS5 makes complex image selections
possible by precisely detecting and masking the trickiest types of edges, such
as hair and foliage, while eliminating background color contamination. Once a
selection is made, the image element can be removed and Content-Aware Fill
replaces the missing pixels in a quarter of the time it used to take manually,
matching lighting, tone and noise so it looks like the deleted content never
existed. InDesign CS5 features new and enhanced tools and on-object controls
that speed up and simplify repetitive everyday page layout tasks. With a single
tool, users can select, align, distribute, rotate, reposition, crop and scale
frame and frame content to intuitively modify page design in almost half the
time. InDesign CS5 is also powering the transition to digital publishing with
new features, such as enhanced EPUB support. Illustrator CS5 includes new stroke
options, enabling users to dynamically create and edit strokes with variable
widths.

Review and Test Designs with Greater Efficiency

Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium integrates with new Adobe CS Live*, a set
of five online services that accelerate key aspects of the creative workflow and
enable designers to focus on creating their best work. CS Live online services
are complimentary for a limited time and currently include Adobe BrowserLab,
Adobe CS Review, Acrobat.com, Adobe Story and SiteCatalyst NetAverages from
Omniture. Adobe CS Review allows Design Premium users to quickly publish a
review of Photoshop comps, Illustrator graphics or InDesign page layouts to the
Web from within the originating Creative Suite software. Peers or clients can
then view and comment with easy-to-use annotation tools that are automatically
displayed in Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign within the context of the
design.

30 days with availability through Adobe Authorized Resellers, the Adobe Store
and Adobe Direct Sales. Estimated street prices for the Creative Suite 5 Design

Adobe Helps Prepare the 21st Century Workforce with Creative Suite 5

Major Release Offers Complete Educational Solution with Curricula, Certification
Programs, Learning Resources and Discount Pricing
SAN JOSE, Calif.–(Business Wire)–
To help K-12 and higher education institutions stay competitive and prepare
today`s technology-driven workforce, Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE)
today announced the Adobe® Creative Suite® 5 product family (see separate
releases) and its supporting educational resources. The company is offering new
curricula, a certification program and learning resources to better train
students and faculty in the digital communication and collaboration skills vital
to 21st century employment. For the first time, Adobe is extending significant
software discounts for home usage with the new Creative Suite 5 Student and
Teacher Editions along with the more affordable educational license pricing
offered to institutions.

“Being able to creatively express an idea using compelling facts and visuals is
imperative in any profession. This process involves technology literacy,
creativity, communication, critical thinking and collaboration skills,” said
Peter Isaacson, vice president of worldwide education for Adobe. “With the
launch of Creative Suite 5, we`re giving institutions, students and faculty the
ability to learn these skills and use the tools wherever they are – in the
classroom, at home or online.”

Creative Suite 5 products enable students and faculty to more easily create
print, Web, video, audio and mobile content and incorporate it into their
assignments. It allows them to work faster, craft great stories, collaborate
more efficiently and visually communicate their ideas. For example, with the new
Adobe Flash® Catalyst™ component, building interactive content can be done
without writing code. And integration with Adobe CS Live online services
provides new ways to work together online and streamline the way projects get
done (CS Live Services are complimentary for a limited time).*

“With Creative Suite 5, Adobe continues to deliver innovative tools that make
teaching cross-media skills easier than ever,” said Brett Forsyth, head of
digital design, Vancouver Film School. “With Adobe Creative Suite 5 software,
students learn industry-standard tools to expand their creative skills – giving
them a head start toward successful careers.”

Research shows that today`s students are producers, not just consumers of
digital media. Creating and sharing ideas, photos and videos on social networks
and personal blogs are part of their daily lives. It is how they communicate
socially, and they want to incorporate these elements into their school work.
Adobe Creative Suite 5 software, and its accompanying educational training and
pricing, gives students and faculty the opportunity to learn how to effectively
use Creative Suite 5 and create compelling projects that express their ideas.

“Adobe solutions are a critical part of the digital media platform for Lee
County schools and are integral to our technical certification programs,” said
Jana Hambruch, project director, Office of Zone and Attractor Programs and
Technical, Career and Adult Education, Lee County Public Schools in Florida.
“Using Adobe software, students are graduating with the competitive skills
required in today`s workplace. Certification programs combined with
industry-leading software like Adobe Creative Suite 5 will continue to better
engage students in learning to achieve higher grades and standardized test
scores.”

New Educational Resources

To complement Creative Suite 5 software, Adobe will offer new educational
resources including curricula, associate and expert certification for students
and faculty, and faculty professional development.

Adobe has developed three different CS5 curricula designed to help teachers
implement design, Web and video programs. These focus on the technical skills
and design theory students need to be successful communicators in their fields:
Digital Design: Foundations of Web Design; Visual Design: Foundations of Design
and Print Production; and Digital Video: Foundations of Video Design and
Production. The year-long curriculum guides will be available for free from
Adobe, and will align to the standards set by The International Society for
Technology in Education (ISTE®) NETS for Students.

Educators and students can get certified for both entry-level skills as an Adobe
Certified Associate (ACA) and professional-level skills as an Adobe Certified
Expert (ACE). Developed and deployed by Certiport and Adobe, these
certifications validate a broad range of technical and communication skills when
entering post-secondary schools or the workforce.

Adobe will also offer CS5 online training from Total Training and on-site,
instructor-led workshops through Knowledge Network Solutions.

What`s Included in Creative Suite 5

The Creative Suite 5 line-up includes Creative Suite 5 Master Collection,
Creative Suite 5 Design Premium, Creative Suite 5 Web Premium, Creative Suite 5

Adobe Introduces Flash Catalyst CS5

Powerful Set of Flash Platform Tools in Creative Suite 5 Advance Design and
Development of Web, Mobile Content
SAN JOSE, Calif.–(Business Wire)–
Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today unveiled Adobe Flash Catalyst
CS5, a new professional interaction design tool that allows designers to rapidly
create expressive Web application interfaces and design interaction without
writing code. Together with Adobe Flash Professional CS5 and Adobe Flash Builder
4, Flash Catalyst CS5 software enables designers and developers to collaborate
and work more productively together. These powerful new Flash tools in Creative
Suite 5 come in advance of the much-anticipated releases of Flash Player 10.1
and Adobe AIR 2, which are optimized for high performance on mobile screens and
designed to take advantage of native device capabilities for a richer, more
immersive user experience.

Flash Catalyst CS5 will be offered in the Adobe CS5 Master Collection, Design
Premium, Web Premium and Production Premium editions (see separate releases). It
will also be available as a stand-alone product.

“Adobe is committed to driving innovation on the Web by providing the best tools
to designers and developers,” said John Loiacono, senior vice president and
general manager of Creative Solutions at Adobe. “By bringing together the reach
of the Flash Platform runtimes with the power of the Flash Platform tools
integrated in Creative Suite 5, designers and developers can collaborate more
effectively, reducing the time required to deliver the compelling applications
and content that users now expect on the Web and mobile devices.”

Add Interactive Flash Content Without Code

Using Flash Catalyst CS5, designers can easily add interactive Flash content to
Web sites and applications by transforming native Adobe Photoshop and Adobe
Illustrator artwork, as well as files from Adobe Fireworks CS5, into functional
content and user interfaces (UI). Because designers can now create interactive
content without writing code, they can precisely realize their interactive
concepts with Flash Catalyst, and work directly with their customers to refine
those concepts using fully functional implementations rather than static
screenshots. Flash Catalyst also allows round-trip editing of structured pieces
of the interaction design project in Photoshop or Illustrator and allows
finished projects to be published for distribution as SWF files. The project
file can then be imported into Adobe Flash Builder where a developer can add
functionality and integrate with servers and services.

Better Collaboration for RIA Development

Also new to CS5 Web Premium and CS5 Master Collection is Flash Builder 4, an
Eclipse based, professional development tool designed to help software
developers rapidly build cross-platform rich Internet applications (RIAs) using
the Flex framework. Using Flash Builder 4, developers can better collaborate
with designers to rapidly build and deliver applications while maintaining the
specific interactions and fidelity as defined by the designer using Flash
Catalyst. This powerful combination provides designers with greater control of
their creative vision, while allowing developers to stay focused on core
application logic.

Powerful Design Features for Adding Interactivity

Additionally, designers can leverage the powerful new features in Flash
Professional CS5, including a new text engine providing creative freedom and
control over text, enhanced capabilities for team collaboration on projects,
prebuilt code snippets for rapidly adding interactivity and integration with
Flash Builder for advanced ActionScript code editing. Using Flash Professional
CS5, designers and developers can create, test and deliver Web content across a
wide range of mobile platforms and devices such as smartphones, tablets,
netbooks, smartbooks and other consumer electronics. They can deploy content in
the browser with Flash Player 10.1 and as a standalone application with AIR 2.
In addition, users can now build AIR applications using the new Packager for
iPhone tool preview, a component of Flash Professional CS5, which can be
deployed on the iPhone and iPad (subject to Apple’s requirements and approval)
with future device support planned for Android, BlackBerry and Palm webOS.

“The inclusion of Adobe Flash Catalyst CS5 in the Adobe Flash Platform is a
great addition to my workflow. I can now quickly import visual assets into Flash
Catalyst, and then rapidly turn them into functioning simulations that I can
further extend with Adobe Flash Builder,” said Chris Griffith, staff engineer of
Qualcomm. “This new process has reduced my development time, and enabled our
team to explore more compelling user interfaces and designs for both internal
and external projects.”

Pricing and Availability

Adobe Flash Catalyst CS5 and Adobe Flash Professional CS5 are scheduled to ship
within 30 days with availability through Adobe Authorized Resellers, the Adobe
Store and Adobe Direct Sales. Adobe Flash Builder 4 Standard and Premium are
currently available. Estimated street pricing is expected to be US$399 for Adobe
Flash Catalyst CS5, US$699 for Adobe Flash Professional CS5, and US$249 for
Adobe Flash Builder 4 Standard and US$699 for Adobe Flash Builder 4 Premium.
Flash Catalyst and Flash Professional will also be available in the CS5 Master
Collection, CS5 Design Premium, CS5 Web Premium and CS5 Production Premium
editions. Flash Builder 4 Standard will be available in the CS5 Master
Collection and CS5 Web Premium editions. For more detailed information about
features, OS support, upgrade policies, pricing and International versions,

Professional, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop Extended, Adobe Illustrator,
Adobe Fireworks, and now Adobe Flash Catalyst and Flash Builder. In addition to

by giving them the capabilities to deliver content across operating systems,
browsers and multiple devices with a stunning set of Flash tools.”

Web Premium CS5 is a comprehensive solution for Web professionals doing
standards-based production, who need to implement Web analytics into their
designs. The product also enables the creation of content and applications for
the much anticipated releases of Flash Player 10.1 and Adobe AIR 2, which are
optimized for high performance on mobile screens and designed to take advantage
of native device capabilities for a richer, more immersive user experience.

“Speed, flexibility and extensibility are three key factors to developing
successful digital campaigns that engage and excite potential movie audiences,”
said JP Richards, vice president of digital marketing at Universal Pictures. “At
Universal we reach our audiences where they are-online, offline or on their
mobile devices-and with the new additions in Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium,
we`ll be able to develop innovative content faster than before and track the
metrics of our campaigns with the new Omniture integration capabilities.”

Comprehensive Set of Flash Tools

New in Adobe Web Premium CS5 is a comprehensive set of Adobe Flash tools that
can significantly boost productivity between designers and developers so they
can quickly and confidently design for today`s multi-screen environment with the
reach and consistency of the ubiquitous Flash Platform. With Web Premium CS5,
design organizations now get the added benefit of having all three unique Flash
tools for their teams to work with: Flash Professional CS5 for Web designers
creating immersive experiences; Flash Catalyst CS5 for designers creating
application interfaces and design interaction; and Flash Builder 4 for
developers who prefer to work primarily in code, creating rich Internet
applications (see separate Flash release).

In Flash Professional CS5, Web designers benefit from the new Text Layout
Framework, which provides professional-level typography capabilities with
functions like kerning, ligatures, tracking, leading, threaded text block and
multiple columns, as well as advanced multilingual typographic and layout
features for more than 30 languages including Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese and
Japanese. Also new in Flash Professional CS5 is a pre-built Code Snippets Panel,
which allows designers to quickly inject code into projects for timeline
navigation, actions, animation, audio and video. Using Flash Professional CS5,
designers and developers can create, test and deliver Web content across a wide
range of mobile platforms and devices such as smartphones, tablets, netbooks,
smartbooks and other consumer electronics. They can deploy content in the
browser with Flash Player 10.1 and as a standalone application with AIR 2. In

tool preview, a component of Flash Professional CS5, which can be deployed on
the iPhone and iPad (subject to Apple’s requirements and approval) with future
device support planned for Android, BlackBerry and Palm webOS.

Support for PHP and Faster Page Updates

Web Premium CS5 delivers new support in Dreamweaver CS5 for popular third-party
PHP-based content management systems like Drupal, Joomla! and WordPress,
allowing designers to get accurate views of dynamic Web content from within
Dreamweaver. Another productivity enhancement in Dreamweaver CS5 is the Dynamic
Related Files feature, which speeds page updates and simplifies management of
complex sites by providing direct access to all of a given Web page`s related
files. Also included is an expanded version of the popular Live View feature to
allow for quick and accurate checks of code and CMS design themes. Dreamweaver
CS5 also includes an extension for Adobe Business Catalyst, an online service
that Web designers can use to deliver powerful online businesses without having
to do back-end coding, at a fraction of the traditional time and cost.

Review and Test Designs with Greater Efficiency

Web Premium CS5 also integrates with the new Adobe CS Live*, a set of five
online services that accelerate key aspects of the creative workflow. CS Live
online services are complimentary for a limited time and currently include Adobe
BrowserLab, which eliminates the need for extra resources previously required

version upgrades of flagship creative tools while delivering significant
workflow enhancements to designers and developers. Featuring integration with
online content and digital marketing measurement and optimization capabilities
for the first time, Creative Suite 5 products include access to signature
Omniture technologies, to capture, store and analyze information generated by
Web sites and other sources. Additionally, a brand new component, Adobe Flash
Catalyst, joins the Creative Suite, ushering in the ability to design
interactive content without writing code and improve the collaborative process
between designer and developer.

The Adobe CS5 product family also enables the creation of content and
applications for the much anticipated releases of Flash Player 10.1 and Adobe
AIR 2, which are optimized for high performance on mobile screens and designed
to take advantage of native device capabilities for a richer, more immersive
user experience.

The new lineup is headlined by Adobe Creative Suite 5 Master Collection, which
includes, in a single package, all of Adobe`s renowned Creative Suite tools,
such as Photoshop CS5 (see separate release), Illustrator CS5, InDesign CS5 (see
separate release), Flash Catalyst CS5 (see separate release), Flash Professional
CS5, Dreamweaver CS5, Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 (see separate release) and After
Effects CS5. These tools are also available separately or in one of the five
Creative Suite editions. The complete Creative Suite 5 lineup includes Creative
Suite 5 Master Collection, Creative Suite 5 Design Premium, Creative Suite 5 Web
Premium, Creative Suite 5 Production Premium and Creative Suite 5 Design
Standard, as well as 15 point products, associated technologies and integration
with new Adobe CS Live Services (CS Live Services are complimentary for a
limited time).*

“While Creative Suite 5 continues Adobe`s storied history of delivering
astonishing new creative features, this release first and foremost addresses the
challenges facing publishers and creatives worldwide-how to build profitable
businesses around digital content,” said Shantanu Narayen, president and chief
executive officer at Adobe. “By coupling sophisticated online business analytics
with dazzling creative tools, we`re ensuring that publishers, designers and
marketers can create, deliver and optimize beautiful, high-impact digital
experiences across media and devices.”

Design Without Boundaries

More than 250 new features have been integrated into the Adobe Creative Suite 5
Master Collection. InDesign CS5 is powering the transition to digital publishing
with new interactive documents and enhanced electronic reader device support.
Image creation and editing get a boost in Photoshop CS5 with Refine Edge, which
offers better edge detecting technology and masking results in less time.
Photoshop CS5 also includes the ability to remove an image element and
immediately replace the missing pixels with Content-Aware Fill. New stroke
options allow Adobe Illustrator CS5 users to create strokes of variable widths
and precisely adjust the width at any point along the stroke.

Work Faster with Greater Precision

Engineering breakthroughs throughout Adobe Creative Suite 5 Master Collection
work together to dramatically improve performance. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe
Premiere Pro and After Effects are now native 64-bit applications on both Mac
and Windows, allowing users to work more fluidly when working on high-resolution
projects. The highly anticipated NVIDIA GPU-accelerated Adobe Mercury Playback
Engine allows Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 users to open projects faster, refine
effects-rich HD sequences in real time and play back complex projects without
rendering. The revolutionary time-saving Roto Brush tool in After Effects helps
users isolate moving foreground elements in a fraction of the normal time. In
addition, Dreamweaver CS5 now supports popular content management systems
Drupal, Joomla! and WordPress, allowing designers to get accurate views of
dynamic Web content from within the product.

Accelerate and Optimize Creative Workflows

Adobe Creative Suite 5 products integrate with new Adobe CS Live*, a set of five
online services that accelerate key aspects of the creative workflow and enable
designers to focus on creating their best work. CS Live online services are
complimentary for a limited time and currently include Adobe BrowserLab, Adobe
CS Review, Acrobat.com, Adobe Story and SiteCatalyst NetAverages from Omniture.
Adobe CS Review enables online design reviews directly from Creative Suite 5
applications, while Adobe BrowserLab is an indispensable tool for testing Web
site content across different browsers and operating systems. NetAverages
provides Web usage data that helps reduce the guesswork early in the creative
process when designing for Web and mobile. Adobe Story is a collaborative
scriptwriting tool that improves production and post-production workflows in CS5
Production Premium. Access to Acrobat.com services, such as Adobe ConnectNow Web
conferencing, is also included to enhance discussion and information exchange
with colleagues and clients around the globe.

Create and Deliver to More Mobile Platforms

Using Flash Professional CS5, designers and developers can create, test and
deliver Web content across a wide range of mobile platforms and devices such as
smartphones, tablets, netbooks, smartbooks and other consumer electronics. Users
can look forward to deploying content in the browser with Flash Player 10.1 and
as a standalone application with AIR 2 when those planned products become
available. In addition, users can now build AIR applications using the new
Packager for iPhone tool preview, a component of Flash Professional CS5, which

Engine, to the script-to-screen workflow that begins with Adobe Story, this is a
game-changing release that takes video production workflow to the next level.”

Work Dramatically Faster

Adobe Creative Suite 5 Production Premium ups the ante with industry-leading
performance breakthroughs and innovations that accelerate the professional video
workflow. The new Mercury Playback Engine allows users to open projects faster,
refine effects-rich HD sequences in real time, enjoy smooth scrubbing, and play
back complex projects without rendering. This NVIDIA GPU-accelerated, 64-bit
native engine enables users to see results instantly when applying multiple
color corrections and effects across many video layers, and to work in real time
on complex timelines and long-form projects with thousands of clips-whether a
project is in SD, HD, 2K, or 4K.

Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop are now native 64-bit
applications on both Mac and Windows, allowing users to get the most out of
their hardware investment and work faster and more fluidly. Expanded native
support for tapeless media, including the latest DSLR cameras from Canon, Nikon,
Panasonic and others, makes the industry`s best tapeless workflow even better.
Users can edit native tapeless footage immediately after transferring it from
the camera, avoiding transcoding or rewrapping of footage. New support for XDCAM
HD 50, AVCCAM, DPX, and AVC-Intra, as well as enhanced RED support, builds on
existing capabilities for P2, XDCAM EX and HD, and AVCHD. Adobe Premiere Pro
users can also now take advantage of new powerful logging options for tapeless
cameras in Adobe OnLocation CS5.

“Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium has become the staple throughout our
creative services area,” said Marty Faubell, vice president of engineering for
Hearst Television. “Unleashing the powerful new features of CS5 is a step our
creative storytellers can`t wait to take. We are quickly moving forward with
Adobe to enable tapeless workflows, rich in metadata that will enhance content
management and delivery to all of our platforms. The power and sophistication of
Creative Suite 5 will advance our efforts to be more efficient and competitive
in a business that changes daily.”

Craft Great Stories

Post-production workflows in Adobe Creative Suite 5 Production Premium will
benefit from several new innovations that enhance creative expression while
simplifying everyday tasks. The revolutionary time-saving Roto Brush tool in
After Effects works like the Quick Select tool in Photoshop; enabling users to
isolate moving foreground elements from backgrounds in a fraction of the time
and with extreme precision. With Photoshop CS5 Extended users can create
eye-popping 3D assets, paint more naturally and remove unwanted objects.
Automatic scene detection in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 creates separate clips from
HDV tapes and finds and removes gaps in sequences instantly. Adobe Flash
Catalyst CS5 allows users to design interactive online video portfolios without
writing code. Video pros will be able to more effectively target mobile devices
in conjunction with the much anticipated release of Flash Player 10.1 which is
optimized for high performance on mobile screens and designed to take advantage
of native device capabilities for a richer, more immersive user experience.

Collaborate Efficiently

Adobe CS5 Production Premium helps users collaborate more efficiently by easily
integrating into existing toolsets and workflows. Adobe tools provide roundtrip
editing between Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 and Apple Final Cut Pro or Avid Media
Composer, giving users and workgroups maximum flexibility when moving assets
between applications and collaborating on projects.

Adobe CS5 Production Premium integrates with Adobe Story*, a collaborative
scriptwriting service, to improve production and post-production workflows by
enabling users to leverage scripts for shot lists in Adobe OnLocation, import
captured footage into Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 for a preliminary rough cut and use
Speech Alignment to synch the script to the footage. Integration with CS Review*
service helps eliminate the hassle of client and team reviews by allowing users
to review dailies, storyboards, style boards and edited works in progress. Users
gain access to convenient services for sharing project information with team
members through Acrobat.com. All of these are part of Adobe CS Live*, a new set
of five online services that accelerate key aspects of the creative workflow. CS
Live online services are complimentary for a limited time and currently include:
Adobe Story, Adobe CS Review, Acrobat.com, Adobe BrowserLab, and SiteCatalyst
NetAverages from Omniture. Integration with CS Review will not be available in
initial shipping versions of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. In order to use CS Review
with Adobe Premiere Pro, customers will need to install a future update.
