Kate Winslet, Michelle Obama among People’s 2009 Best-Dressed Women

New Delhi, Sept 17 (ANI): British actress Kate Winslet has been named the best dresser on red carpet in People magazine’s 10 best-dressed women of 2009, while America’s first lady Michelle Obama has bagged the spot for “best accessible glamour.”

Winslet, 33, has been named as the woman with the finest dress on the red carpet, “with her unique brand of sexy sophistication, modern Hollywood glamour and those enviable curves,” reports China Daily.

Walk the Line star Reese Witherspoon has also made it to the list for wearing the “best short dresses,” and actress Vanessa Hudgens has been named as the “best hippie chic.”

People listed former American Idol judge Paula Abdul and actress Renee Zellweger among the fashion flops.

Renee Zellweger compares motherhood to “slavery”

London, Aug 22 (ANI): Actress Renee Zellweger is likely to have second thoughts on starting a family and having kids after a nightmarish babysitting session with her brother’s kids.

The 40-year-old single beauty said an evening with her nephew and niece drained her out completely.

The Daily Star quoted her as saying: “My brother has two children now, so I’ve been playing aunt Renee. They’re two and four. It’s chaos. Moms out there, kudos to you. The cool thing about being an aunt is like, I can leave. No offence to my big brother Drew, but that is slavery. I dare you to take a shower. You can’t do anything unless they let you. It’s a dictatorship. They’re little dictators in their crib.”

Now, Zellweger is unsure if she wants to be a full-time mum.

“Every now and then I’ll step up and say, ‘You know what, everybody sleep in, because you guys need some sleep and aunt Renee is going to take charge. I’ve got it, I’ve got it.’ I so idn’t have it,” she adds. (ANI)

Renee Zellweger sports skinny look ahead of ‘Bridget Jones’ film

London, Aug 20 (ANI): American actress Renee Zellweger was spotted looking super-skinny at the premiere of her new movie, though she may later have to put on the pounds for her role as Bridget Jones.

Zellweger, 40, who was at the premiere of ‘My One and Only’ in New York, was seen wearing a figure-hugging black satin dress that accentuated her bony shoulders and muscular calves, reports the Mirror.

The actress had to pile on pounds when she previously played the part of the hapless singleton in Bridget Jones’s Diary.

The next instalment is expected to be based on the weekly columns, written by author Helen Fielding, about 40-something Bridget’s attempts to have a baby, and filming is expected to egin end of next year. (ANI)

Cooper ends romance rumours with Aniston

London, July 1 (IANS) American actor Bradley Cooper has set aside the romours that he is dating former “Friends” actor Jennifer Aniston after a dinner date in New York with actress Renee Zellweger.
“The Hangover” actor has repeatedly denied the rumours that his relationship with his “He’s Just Not That Into You” co-star Aniston is anything more than platonic, insisting they are really “just friends”, despite being snapped dining out together last month, reports contactmusic.com.

New reports also suggest Cooper is dating Zellweger, he took the “Bridget Jones’ Diary” actress out to an Italian restaurant Tuesday, where fellow diners claim they acted like the perfect couple.

“He pulled her chair out for her when she sat down and he kissed her on the hand. If they’re just friends, they were being awfully affectionate. Throughout the dinner they were playful and flirty. She played with her hair a lot, and she would often touch his arm when she was making a point about something,” said an onlooker.

“At one point, he seemed to want to whisper something to her as if it were a secret. He spoke into her ear and then they both started giggling,” the onlooker added.

Zellweger, who appears alongside Cooper in upcoming movie “Case 39″, has previously been romanced by Jim Carrey and rocker Jack White, and was married briefly to country singer Kenny Chesney.

Judge orders Renee Zellweger to hand over her diary

London, Feb 2 (ANI): American actress Renee Zellweger has been ordered to hand over her diary to a judge as part of an ongoing insurance battle over her hit movie Cinderella Man.

Zellweger, whose co-star Russell Crowe had suffered a dislocated shoulder and delayed filming on the 2005 picture by seven weeks, had requested a payment of 2 million pounds from film insurance bosses, reports the Daily Star.

But executives at the insurance company claim Zellweger is not entitled to the 4.1 million pounds, which has already been paid out because of the delay.

As per the legal proceedings, the actress must now give a deposition and hand her own journal over to the court, along with any other documents proving her whereabouts during the downtime. (ANI)

Renee Zellweger shunned celeb status for Obama’s inauguration

Washington, Jan 30 (ANI): Hollywood actress Renee Zellweger was so desperate to watch US President Barack Obama’s inauguration that she shunned her celeb status and veiled herself among the two million civilians swarming the nation’s capitol.

The 39-year-old actress insists she was content to give up the company of celebrity revellers who watched Obama take his oath from the front rows.

“I just had to be there. I was a bit obsessed… so, with no tickets, and no plan, and no access, I got on a train and I just went,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“I walked for three hours and stood on a police barricade… I was prepared for the crowd, I was prepared for the cold, I wasn’t prepared for how emotional it was going to be.

“I am so glad I was there, regardless of the fact I couldn’t feel my toes for three days after the fact,” she added. (ANI)

Renee Zellweger dating American TV personality?

Washington, Jan 22 (ANI): Hollywood actress Renee Zellweger has sparked rumors that she is dating American T.V. presenter Dan Abrams.

Although the ‘The Bachelor’ actress had earlier stated that she is too busy with her work to find time for romance, she is currently being linked to Dan, after the duo was spotted enjoying a romantic dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, New York, according to the New York Post.

Zellweger told Marie Claire earlier this month: “The thing is, I’m away all the time. I suppose if I sat still long enough to get to know somebody beyond a dinner date, maybe.

“But I don’t feel like my life is empty or that I have to make something happen. I have projects to develop.”

The 39-year-old actress annulled her four-month long marriage to country singer Kenny Chesney in 2005. (ANI)
