Geraldton detectives have charged a Beresford man over the violent assault of a 23-year-old man.
Police say the 33-year-old man went to the victim’s Drummonds Cove home late on Tuesday night after a dispute with another man.
He allegedly forced his way into the home, before assaulting the the 23-year-old while he was in bed.
The man was flown to Perth by the Royal Flying Doctor Service where he underwent emergency surgery for severe facial injuries.
He is reported to be in a stable condition.
The 33-year-old man was charged with aggravated burglary and with causing grievous bodily harm.
He will face Geraldton Magistrates Court next Thursday.
